Chance a junior for MIT, Caltech, Stanford, UPenn, and harvard will chance back

I am attending a very academically rigorous public school in California. I am planning to major in physics/math/computer science.

Overall unweighted gap: 4.0
Overall weighted: 4.3
School does not rank, but pretty sure in the top 5%

SAT: 2350 (took once as a 10th grader)
SAT II:
math-800
physics-800
chemistry-800

ACT: didn't take

AP's:
BC calc:5
Statistics:5
Physics C:5
Computer science: 5
Spanish:5
Plan to take: AP chem, AP economics, AP environmental science, AP english in senior year

Race/ethnicity:
Asian

Income bracket:
~100,000

Sports:
Swimming since 10, went into competitive swimming at 12. Went to junior olympics, nothing after that.

EC's:
USAMO qualifier in 10th and 11th grade
Went to the USAMO summer math camp last summer
Interned at UC Santa Cruz for astrophysics research with a professor
Now doing research/writing paper with a referred researcher at Stanford on the formation of halo discs in the early universe (since winter of 10th grade)
Volunteered at local center for people with disabilities (100 hrs)
Created online database to help middle school kids get interested in science by connecting them to helpful programs. gets a couple thousand hits a month.

Summer Programs: *= this summer
Leadership/technology program at Brown (9th)
Internship at UC Santa Cruz for astrophysics (10th)
USAMO math camp (10th)
*USAMO math camp
*research with physicist at Stanford
*improve online database
*browse reddit

So what are my chances?

MIT admits 50% of USAMO qualifiers, good odds there. Your odds at the other schools are higher than the typical applicant but the subjective part of your application will really make or break you. I really see you getting into at least one of them though. It’s a technically very solid application.

Chances are very high considering your SAT and Subject tests. Might need for ECs but they are strong since they are very correlated with your planned major. Go for ED for Harvard because their acceptance rates are higher than most other ivies or prestigious schools.
chance me back

Ok, will keep in mind

@tasteslikebutter, can you elaborate on the “subjective part”?

Yeah, the way you come across as a human being will matter at least a little. Anything you can have good numbers but still botch (essays, interviews, personality) is subjective. Making these balanced (because the rest of your app is stacked towards math/science) would help.

Uhh you can’t apply ED to Harvard, only Single Choice Early Action. Furthermore, your chances do not increase by applying SCEA to Harvard. On that list, UPenn ED would be most beneficial. Good luck!
