Chance a Junior for Top Schools (will chance back)

Hi! I'm currently a junior at a large public school and I was wondering what my chances are for getting into these schools. I plan applying to a lot of schools mainly for financial reasons, I want to see how much I receive in financial aid before making any decisions. I'm most likely going to be a political science major.

Princeton
Penn
George Washington
U of Virginia
NYU
Boston U
Case Western
U of Maryland-CP
George Mason
Michigan State
U of Minnesota
U of Alaska-Anchorage (my last resort)

Anyways, on to stats. I'm worried about my EC's because they seem a bit scattered, but I am dedicated to all of them. I'm a white male at a large public school in Alaska. My teacher recs are coming from my APUSH and AP Lang teachers, and I have a feeling both will be fantastic.

Extracurriculars

Youth Court - Currently the Chief Judge. I've been doing this since I was a freshman and have racked up over 500 hours of community service with this organization. I also participate on the organization's Executive Board, Board of Directors, and Ethics Board.

Speech and Debate - I've been doing this since my sophomore year and am currently the team's treasurer. I was a semifinalist at the state tournament in LD debate my sophomore year and an octafinalist my junior year. I also was a semifinalist in Congressional Debate my junior year as well. I have attended/will be attending NCFL Nationals in LD debate in both my sophomore and junior years. I also was the 3rd person in my school's history to break to outrounds at a major national tournament. I'm not attempting to brag, I'm just attempting to show that I'm really dedicated to the activity.

Partners Club - I've been working with this club since my freshman year and am currently a co-president. We basically work with the special education kids at my school to make them feel like an important part of the school community.

Mock Trial - I did this activity this year because our team needed another attorney and I agreed to do it so that they wouldn't have to drop out of the competition. I actually learned a lot from it and plan to return next year! It was a lot of fun.

JV Tennis - I've been playing since my sophomore year. I mostly do this just for the purposes of fun and fitness. I have no realistic expectations of making varsity, but I've had fun playing tennis and I've found a sport I actually like, so that's a plus.

NHS - It's kind of a joke at my school, so...

So, with all this information, how do I stack up for these schools? Thanks in advance for all of your replies, and if you ask my to chance back, I will! Sorry that this thread's a bit long and disorganized, but I wanted to provide a lot of info!

Oh, I also forgot to mention that our We the People team won the state championship this year as well! I was part of that team.

Princeton - Reach because it’s princeton but you do have a shot so i would definitely apply
Penn - Low reach.
George Washington - Match or even safety, imo
U of Virginia - Match
NYU - Match
Boston U - Safety
Case Western - Safety
U of Maryland-CP - Safety
George Mason - Safety
Michigan State - Safety
U of Minnesota - Safety
U of Alaska-Anchorage (my last resort) - You WILL get in

also, you have an upper hand being from alaska since all schools want students from all 50 states

Chance me back?

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1649056-chance-me-for-bu-upenn-northwestern-tufts-rice-and-brown-urm.html

I feel a lot more confident now, thanks! I’m still a bit worried about my ECs. Are they too scattered?

they don’t seem scattered to me just because you have important positions in most of them and clearly, you can elaborate on your experiences so it shows that you don’t just show up

but this is coming from someone who has pretty scattered ECs so i don’t know…

Princeton: Reach
Penn: Reach
^ They’re ivies, it’s worth a shot but it’s tough to call them matches or safeties.
GW: Match
UVA: Reach (Out of state is very difficult)
NYU: High match/low reach
BU: Match
Case Western: Safety
UMD: Low match
GMU: Safety
MSU: Safety
UMinnesota: Safety
UAlaska: Safety

Actually, since many schools have to fill certain “region quotas” and there’s not many students applying from Alaska (compared to the amount of students in the Northeast, for example) you’re lucky in that sense – it will help boost your chance of admissions.

Princeton: Reach
Penn: Reach
George Washington: Match
U of Virginia: Match/ low reach
NYU: Match/ low reach
Boston U: Match/ safety
Case Western: Safety
U of Maryland-CP: Safety
George Mason: Safety
Michigan State: Match
U of Minnesota: Safety
U of Alaska-Anchorage (my last resort): safety

I think you have a good shot at all of them, although Penn and Princeton are reaches for anyone. How did you score on your AP exams? And I think your extracurriculars are very good personally, you’ve clearly pursued your interests, and even if they were scattered they would just show that you are a well rounded person. Good luck!
