Chance a low GPA, high SAT please?

Ok, this won't be such a great manifesto, but here goes:

Intended major: Economics

If it matters at all i'm an Indonesian-American.

GPA: 3.42 UW. School doesn't weight, but if I had to estimate my weighted GPA it would probably be around the 3.7-3.8 weighted range.
SAT: 1600/2350
SAT IIs- World History: 800, Math 2: 710
AP: Psych, Art History, English Lang and Comp, Comp Sci, World History, US History- All 5s, (self studied Psych and World History)

I worked hard on my personal statements, my AP English Lang teacher liked it, as did my AP English Lit teacher, and my Honors Chem teacher (who has an MFA in Literature).

Senior Year Schedule:
AP Physics C
AP English Lit
AP Stats
AP Calc AB/BC
AP Gov
Spanish 3

ECs and Achievements:

Captain of Quiz Bowl Team (team went to the NAQT nationals last year in Chicago, won't tell you where we placed but I will say that we placed in the top 30)

Captain of Varsity Golf (I set several records at 4 different courses, but nothing special)

Science Olympiad team member

Ocean Science Bowl team member

Member of the Senior Men and Women (it's basically an honor society for the seniors)

Constitution Team co-captain

I volunteer at a nonprofit for veterans of the Iraq War, approx. 300

Fordham’s average UW GPA is 3.7, but your SAT/AP scores are awesome. I think you’re in. Anyone else?

In and maybe with money. Fordham pays a LOT of attention to SAT scores when handing out scholarships. The single largest factor in deciding who gets money and how much.

Fordham is a great school.

I think you have a really good change I had a low GPA 3.2 But i got in with a 1290/1890 SAT

You’re fine, I was accepted with a lower GPA and good but still lower SAT’s then yours and was still given a scholarship. =]

I am also a golfer, but you have to go to Rose Hill to do any varsity sport. Also, idk if you’ve checked out their team stats but if you plan to play in college I would before making any decisions.

You’re going to get in but I can’t say for sure how much, if any, scholarship you’ll receive. Yes, SAT is very important for Fordham, but GPA is equally important since they’re given equal weight on the U.S. news rankings. My best bet is that your GPA and SAT will neutralize each other and you’ll probably get in with some (maybe half?) merit scholarship. If you had a higher GPA (3.8+), you’d probably be on full scholarship! Good luck!
