Mostly reaches for all the places. Comes down to your essays and recs honestly. EC’s in good position, stats good, rank good.
Could’ve been more AP’s junior year but class offerings vary by school I guess…

UVa: Depends on state status, but pretty good shot
CMU: Don’t Know

Please chance back http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/923865-pretty-please-i-will-chance-back.html</a></p>

HONORSLIONS: Really? Reaches for ALMOST ALL of them? I thought I’d be in good shape for at least Wake, Emory, and CMU.

Yeah, my school doesn’t offer too many AP’s, the only one I will not be taking is AP Lit. But, I’ve tried to make up for it by taking the calsses online at Northwestern, because the only other class my school offers is AP Calc AB. Anyone else?

Yeah I’m guessing it’s a tad too late to self study for an AP, but at the least, make sure you get a letter of rec from a guidance counselour stating that APs are rather limited in your school, but in any case, you would’ve excelled in them.
And uhhh yeah kind of. You’re rank 4, so probably top 1%, impressive SAT’s, great GPA, and you mentioned that you’re on the track of attaining a few more leadership positions.

I wanna say (After taking a deeper look at this) that you just should considering other ivies as (a lot harder) reaches, to really suck your potential. I mean it’s a crapshot anyway. Just write a really good (I’m considering hiring a proffessional to look over it).
Plus, you’re Indian =DDD

Wake Forest Match
UNC Chappel Hill Match
UVA low reach
CMU low match
Harverford Match
Cornell low reach
Penn low reach
Duke match
Wash U of St. Louis match
Emory match

I’d say you have an incredible chance at every school but Cornell and Duke just because of how selective they are and the unpredictable nature of their acceptances.

Assuming that you can write good essays, I’d say that you have a good chance everywhere, as long as you remember how much luck is a factor. I know people with worse stats than you and no hooks who have gotten into Ivies.

Two things right off the bat. Firstly, as far as I know, both Cornell and Penn do not super-score. Secondly, you have a lot of ECs and have done them for many years so that shows commitment but I would advise you not to put them on your application unless you have leadership roles because to a university, they mean nothing unless you have had an impact.

Your rank is pretty good, though valedictorian would be better, however I cannot comment further unless I know what you got for your highest sitting on the SAT I, your SAT II scores, and awards.

You have ECs that relate to your future field of interest but there are very few of them that actually have leadership roles so that may be a problem. At this point in time, and this point in time are the key words here, your ECs are average at best (if you take away the ones without leadership roles) so I would strongly recommend you get some leadership roles in them. If you do, then, you will transform from an average candidate to a strong candidate.

Good luck!

“ECs (only up until junior year, likely to gain/ maintain leadership in many of these as a senior) :”

I think he just may do that. Although you have like 3 clubs that you don’t have any leadership in. And student senate sounds like something thats large and prestigious (similar to the actual congress). And it’s not that bad to include a couple clubs w/ no leadership anyway, it’s almost like giving yourself a bit of a personality. He’s not in any idiotic clubs like ‘Coloring Club’ or ‘House M.D. Fan Club’ that would make him seem foolish anyway.

Well my SATs on a single sitting are: M 750 R 740 W 740 (2230)
My SAT II - Math 1 770
Chem 760
I forgot to add this to my resume!!!
I am attending the University of Pittsburgh Health Scholars Academy over the summer, a one month long program on campus. However, I’m not in line to gain any leadership positions in any of the medical related clubs in my school because they do not have leadership spots, only the science clubs do. Thanks for elaborating guys, feel free to add more!

Well the average SAT score at Cornell is only around like 2100 anyway:
[Cornell University - Average SAT Scores](<a href=“satscores.us - satscores Resources and Information.”>satscores.us - satscores Resources and Information.)

Yeah, I’d still keep the med clubs just to show an enhanced ‘desire’ of medicine. The summer program helps too, and SAT II’s are great as well. You have an excellent chance at cornell, though pre-med is one of the leading causes of NoFoodDrinkSleepButStudy-titis… =D

B u m p it

come on my fellow dudes, haah

We all chanced you and gave you good advice man… no need to be like greedy here

I wasn’t being greedy. Thanks for your advice, I was just wondering if anyone else had any.

Hahahah loved the name of this. I think you have a great chance, but obviously the ivies are reaches for everyone. Your stats look great though! Good luck!
