SCHOOLS I HAVE CONSIDERED BEFORE/MAY CONSIDER (most reaches):
Alabama- Already admitted
Maryland (mother went there),
Pitt,
Wisconsin,
Michigan,
Florida State,
Minnesota,
Colorado-Boulder,
Penn State,
Notre dame,
Oregon,
Oklahoma,
George Washington,
Texas A&M
CAN SOMEONE MAYBE OFFER SOME BETTER SCHOOLS? - I realize there most reaches out of state, and just im not that smart and don't stand out

so yeah help?!
but uhm i guess i should add what i want in a school (which are exceptions at GWU & ND)
*Big time sports
*College town/big city
*10k+
*Colder-ish Weather

--I'm not really a California Person, I'm definitely an East-Coaster/Middle America type

I would say IN to a majority of those- GW and ND and maybe PSU-CP would be reaches kinda. Don’t say you’re not smart you’re smarter than a lot of people obviously! And your ECs are killer!
Hmmm college towns.
Look at Fordham in the bronx, also look at schools in Burlington, VT. Its a HUGE college town and sports are big, UVM, Champlain are good. Also try U of Delaware and Loyola-Chicago.

Thanks! haha I’ve looked at tamu and think its a reach too, wisconsin, michigan also but yeah my big reaches are ND and GW lol

i know i know im smart but not compared to this ivy league calliaber of CC because god forbif i didn’t get a friggin like 2360 and going to yale lolll

haha i’ve looked into fordham nad i reallllly don’t like the core cirriculum thingy lol VT may be interesting i could board,
Ill have to look at those two schools
lol my best friends going to U del and seeing as its like 1.5 hours away TOPS haha its not for me im trying to go farther =) ill look into chicago! thanks@

bump?..

Match at all except for these reaches: Michigan, Notre Dame, George Washington University, Wisconsin

Isn’t TAMU a reach too? lol
Yeah i thought they were reaches ND and Michigan are unrealistic except this kid from my school got into michigan with an 1840 SAT and a 3.72 GPA and were not in michigan lol

do you have any other suggestions

Texas A&M is a really bad school so I don’t know why you would want to go there at all.

Actually I missed your URM status. The reaches I listed above should become slight reaches.

does being URM actually help i’ve heard conflicting details?

It gives you a boost over other applicants because colleges would like to see more hispanics, african-americans, and native americans on their campuses.

Alabama- in
Maryland - match
Pitt - match
Wisconsin - match
Michigan - match
Florida State - match
Minnesota - match
Colorado-Boulder - match
Penn State - match
Notre dame - reach
Oregon - match
Oklahoma - match
George Washington - reach
Texas A&M - reach

If you think a 4.0 = not smart then your are not smart unless you took the minimum classes.

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/830978-i-just-got-rejected-accepted-same-time-will-chance-back.html</a></p>

I think all those schools are matches except GW and Texas.
Chance me back please
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/829040-chance-me-friends.html</a></p>

hahaha no no im just not the “CC” smart with like all super ivy leagues

and thanks and except notre dame =))

you have good stats. how can u say ur not smart?? & good eccs to. youll def stand out. im only gonna chance the schools that i know enough about. Maryland-in FSU-in PSU-in GWU-hmmm, i think so, in but im wouldnt say 90%. & for other schools, you didn’t have too many N.E. schools listed, are u intrested in the northeast or not really? congrats on alabama too :)

hahah more or less im interested in EVERYWHERE, except i prefer colder weather and i dont like california (maybe its the growing up in Georgetown thing) haha

i think im smart, but by no means the CC levels at least (which i dont believe half the time lol)

and woo! i SHOULD be hearing from PSU soon i applied like a month ago =/ so i dunno

and i HOPE george washington!

lol, wait how does georgetown & not liking california go together? i’ve never been to california, but i wish i had the guts to go so far because it seems really nice (im from northeast-tri-state area) & i have a few friends that are applying that far. My cousin goes 2 gwu & really likes it btw. & omg i so agree with CC levels, some ppl r insanelyyy genius, i’ll read thier “chance me” posts & I don’t see how they could doubt themselves when they seem to define the ‘perfect applicant’
im currently in the process of submitting my PSU app (i know, missed priority, :frowning: ) but i think i have a good shot still. The only thing I’m not too fond of is the size (student body size) hmm…

You’re in for most of these… Numbers are ok, but not stellar. But you have awesome EC’s and URM pushes you over the edge.

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/831233-chance-perfectly-average-student.html</a></p>

collegeboyund- haha i guess i grew up in a way that when i go to california i jsut dont enjoy it, i have a cousin who lives there and ive been to visit like twice and i hated it, maybe just where i live they were all so stuck up it was beyond a belief that i wouldnt wanna be there lol … yeah the distance doesn’t even faze me, i lived in italy last year and yeah so im good with being away, yeah they like omfgg i have a 2380 can i get into like Arizona state omfggzzz hahaa well good luck with PSU!! i love the size haha its a fun place to visit at least lol

oma- yeah i know i retook the ACTs but im not expecting them to come up much, i WISH i could have scored better nd ish but hey whats done is done lol thanks!

yea fun place but so many ppl! & the italy abroad thing you did sounds so cool

it wasn’t nearly as cool as it sounds
