I think your a great candidate for all the schools on your list. You’ve done basically everything right, you have a excellent academic record and solid extracurriculars. If you could raise your sat just a little or get a 33+ ACT it would help a lot. Don’t stress with your stats your going to get into a great school. Good Luck!
Thanks! I hope so!! @bobbykevin
I have to agree with the consensus, you will be a strong candidate at these schools with higher SAT/ACT scores. Good luck!
Thanks! @parent19
I will list only those who aren’t obvious reaches.
Brandeis: High match
Northeastern- EA (6 yr DPT program): Reach (not sure about the 6-year DPT program but rejection from the 6-year DPT program may not mean rejection from NEU outright); NEU regular: High match
BU (6 yr DPT program): High match/BU regular: Match
American: Match
George Washington: High match
William and Mary: High match
Ithaca (6 yr DPT program): Reach/Ithaca regular: Safety
Sacred Heart (6 yr DPT program): Safety (you have to declare the major on the application however)
Suny Stonybrook: Safety
Suny Geneseo: Safety
Skidmore: Match
Thanks @Catria
Did you take any SAT IIs? Georgetown wants to see them, even if you choose to submit only an ACT score. They strongly recommend three, but I’ve seen people on CC be admitted with two.
Aside from the SAT score, your have an exceptionallly strong application. Four years of excellence in High School is more important than tests scores. Having said that you need to be solidly within the 25% - 75% range to be considered academically competitive. D had a 36 ACT and only a 2040 SAT. She basically got admitted to schools that saw only her ACT and rejected by schools that saw her SAT as well. We paid $3K or so and she worked with Studypoint on the ACT. I think we got our money’s worth
I will be taking SAT IIs in October. @tranquil218
And thanks! @Wje9164be I took the SATs again in June but who knows how that’ll go, considering the circumstances now. I will be taking the ACTs in October and while we definitely don’t have that money I’ll be sure to study hard on my own!
How much would you guys suggest my SAT needs to go up before it’s not a hinderance to my application? I know they say 2200+, but would a 2100+ actually be the reason someone with otherwise strong stats got rejected? I hope not
I really appreciate all the comments so far! Thank you all so much for taking the time to read through this for me. I will be sure to update when decisions are released!

If you get ur sats up to 2200s or acts to 34+, that’ll all change drastically. Otherwise try and squeeze in a few awards.
Wow I hope you’re right @alpha25 thanks for the chance!
I think there are a lot of schools on this list you are very likely to get into. I’d say the Ivy league schools are reaches. UChicago and Georgetown may be lower reaches. You should be matched wit BU and Northeastern and Emory. I really don’t know much about the others, except that you will definitely get into American.
Thanks! @poliscinerd12316
Hm, I think everyone was fair. I think you should aim for 2100+ for the ivies and the other high targets/low reaches. You just want that number to put you in a competitive start, and then let your fantastic EC’s speak for themself! One thing I want to add to this conversation, I’ve done my research on different schools’ early decision/action programs. Georgetown’s early action program actually has a LOWER acceptance rate than RD. I want an advantage out of any early program I choose~ but it’s a thought! Also GWU is a high safety.
Oh wow thank you for sharing that @nsliyromanov and thanks for the chance!
I pretty much agree with what everyone else is saying. I think that schools like BU, Emory, and Brandeis are good matches. For the Ivy Leagues try to push that sat score to at least around 2100 or more, but I would think your solid extracurriculars should help balance out a lower test score at least a little. Good luck!
Okay thanks! My SAT superscored is now at a 2050, almost to 2100! @collegeconf2
Unfortunately like everything everyone else said your standardized test score is too low for any ivy, really its 2250+ or 34+ for Ivy League schools. Keep trying though, also if you could start something that shows initiative which is huge!
You really need a higher score to get in the door for Ivies and good schools
Yes, definitely just look over your standardized testing! I guess just remember that some schools will ask you to send them all in anyways. Although testing isn’t exactly such a huge deal, it is what let’s the universities know whether or not they should even take a look at your profile & recs (according to all my school counselors). Good luck! (:
