Why won’t anyone chance back?

Someone please… :'(

If you can somehow communicate to the admissions officers that your school/area doesn’t have very many extracurriculars/clubs/sports available, you have amazing chances at absolutely anywhere. If I were you, I’d add Harvard and Princeton to the list as well.

Chance back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1062153-chance-junior-new-years.html

I’m sort of in the same situation as you. School doesn’t offer many AP’s or EC’s. I agree with above, apply to Harvard and Princeton!

Stanford- reach
UC Berkeley- OOS- reach
GA Tech-safety/ low match
Columbia- low reach/ reach
Cornell- high match/ low reach
New York University-low match/ match
Yale- reach

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1054033-chances-ivies.html

I think you have a great chance at all of them, though I agree that Stanford and Yale are reaches for anyone. You have amazing scores but maybe less ECs than others applying top the Ivies. Good luck!

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1058297-could-i-get-into-middlebury.html

You have great scores, and that will get you into schools like NYU, maybe even Cornell, but for HYPS, people have those scores AND tons of amazing EC’s.

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1035638-help-out-nuerotic-junior-top-tiers-ill-chance-back-you-know-you-want.html

Your class rank sticks out. Schools will understand that even if your ap credits aren’t as filled out as students from other schools, you did the best that you could, and were the best at your school.

Stanford,yale reach to high match

Nyu , columbia,cornell high match

Tech- safety

Berkeley - can’t say for sure. Could be a match, but possibly a low reach

Also, you scores are very good so you have a chance at all of the schools.

Stanford- reach
UC Berkeley- OOS- reach
GA Tech-safety/ low match
Columbia- low reach/ reach
Cornell- high match/ low reach
New York University-low match
Yale- reach

Goodluck can you please chance me back

Stanford- reach
UC Berkeley- OOS- low reach
GA Tech- low match/match
Columbia- low reach
Cornell- low reach
New York University- low match
Yale- low reach

I agree add Harvard and Princeton!

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1060384-am-i-setting-my-sights-too-high.html

Thanks!

If you communicated the difficulties of having less opportunities than most others in suburbs or cities, you have a great chance:
Stanford- high Reach
UC Berkeley- Low Reach (in)
GA Tech- In
Columbia- Reach (most likely in)
Cornell- Low reach (in)
New York University safety (in)
Yale- high reach

If you did not communicate the difficulties, I am almost positive that the adcoms will take into account the opportunities that you had. Since it seems that you took advantage of them all, I would think they would be impressed. They will not look down upon you for not having a lot of AP’s if your school did not offer a lot of APs as that is not your fault. You have great scores and great odds. I agree that you should add Harvard and Princeton if it is not too late.

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1063360-just-another-jr-going-ivies.html

Good chance everywhere.

Columbia, Yale, Stanford are reaches and it’s just how the officers feel when they’re reading it. In at the others.

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1063409-chances-uva-will-chance-back.html#post1066180073

About EC’s…
The only things I didn’t participate in were Future Farmers, religious garbage, band, chorus, and sports. The rest was cut.

All good chances, NYU in for sure.

you have great chances anywhere- why would you take more SAT II’s? it’s completely unnecessary; most colleges require 2 and you have 6 800’s so taking more would be completely pointless, and may even look bad, like you’re trying to show off. just be happy with what you have, because your stats look great :)

^^ I just wanted to take emphasis off my horrendous EC’s and show proof of multilingualism. I really wanted to offset my lack of participation in the FFA, FCA, Baptist Leadership thing, religious youth groups, etc. I would hope that a college like Stanford could understand why I didn’t wanted to be involved in things like that.

I think you’ve got a fighting chance at all of your schools. Obviously Yale and Stanford are reaches for everyone. You never know if you’ll get in unless you apply, though. Your SAT and SAT IIs are spectacular, as well as your class rank.

Oops, forgot to include a link! I don’t know how to make it pretty, but here it is.

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1063365-help-ambitious-junior-list-schools.html

Sorry about that!

ETA: Ok. Apparently it makes it pretty by itself. Never mind!
