Chance a student for Penn/other top schools and I'll return the favor!

Hi,
So I'll cut right to the chase.

Here are a compilation of test scores:
ACT sitting 1: 32 English, 33 math, 34 CR, 30 Science, (32.25 composite, so effing close)
ACT sitting 2: 36 English, 34 math, 32 CR, 27 science (32.25 AGAIN)
Superscored though: 36 English, 34 math, 34 CR, 30 science (33.5 composite, or a 34 rounded!)
SAT I: Math: 710 CR: 750 Writing: 730
SAT II's: US History: 760 Bio M: 690 Lit:680 Math II: 680 (took the last 2 with no prep)

AP Exams: APUSH-5; AP English-5 (This is especially good since both teachers I'm getting recs from taught these corresponding classes to me).

A bunch of the colleges I'm looking at superscore the ACT, most notably Amherst and WashU, while schools like Penn "take all scores into consideration"...do you think that my scores are good enough to get into my top schools (ie Penn, Amherst, WashU, Emory, Duke), or should I re-take ACTs/subject tests in September and October? Or is that overkill? I mean, a 34 superscored on the ACT is pretty good, but my best individual sittings are only 32's...thoughts?

Colleges of Interest:
Penn
Amherst
Northwestern
Duke
Wash-U
Emory
Vanderbilt
Michigan
Brandeis

I am currently deciding whether I intend on going pre-med or business...the summer program I went to was for medicine and quite interesting so I'm considering a change of heart..obv. if i decided medicine, Penn, Wash U, Emory, Duke and Vandy would vault up the list while Amherst, Brandeis, and Michigan would likely slide down the board.

any thoughts?

I’d say in at Mich and Brandeis with a good shot at Vandy and Emory. the others are reaches–try to up your scores for them. Do any schools super score (much less round) ACTs?

I don’t think it’s any use trying to round your ACT scores since the admins will look at each individual score for what it is. they won’t round it to a 34 superscored and consider it a 34 composite. your SAT II math II looks a bit low, I know many people who scored 800s without studying, you have a strong chance at all of them but penn, amherst, and duke are your farthest reaches.

hmom5 is completely right in her evaluation. If you could up your SAT to a 2250 superscore or the ACT to a 33 non-superscored composite, your chances at the reaches would improve greatly.

Yes, Wash-U and Amherst both superscore the ACT, while Penn takes “all scores into consideration”. Other thoughts?

I think your score is a bit low, should consider retaking

You should look at rutgers or tcnj cause you’re not getting into those schools.

ill be honest

Penn- high reach
Amherst-high reach
Northwestern-mid reach
Duke-high reach
Wash-U-low reach
Emory-match
Vanderbilt-donno
Michigan-match
Brandeis-donno

Yeah you’re not getting into those schools… You should try looking at like rutgers or like tcnj

hahaha gus
