Please Chance me for UCSD: Biomedical Engineering!

I would really appreciate any feedback, Thank You!

In.
Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanks! Happy Thanksgiving to you too!

I think your Dutch ancestry will hurt your chances. :(

I know…can’t have too many tall, blonde, tan dutch men walking around ;)

bbuuummpppp

what can i say… its obvious youre in! congrats…

but can you post how you calculated the UC GPA… in case something went wrong or something :)

Thanks!

Here’s what I found to be the most helpful…it gives the breakdown of UW, W & Capped, and the UC GPA. [Transcript Evaluation: How do I figure out a student?s GPA?](http://collegetools.berkeley.edu/resources.php?cat_id=51)

thanks for the link… but that isnt what i meant… sry for being unclear… i meant the numbers YOU used and all-ur classes and all…

but here is a link that does it automatically… you can check it using this:
http://edweb.sdsu.edu/compact/UC%20GPA%20Calculation.pdf

hmmm…according to the link I laid out, UCB uses Fully Weighted GPA and the rest of the UCs use weighted and capped (8 semesters) GPA. In that case, my “UC GPA” would be the weighted & capped = 4.29ish

Thanks for the clarification!

UCB and UCLA use fully weighted GPA  but nice a 4.29 is very good, congrats… its not like the 4.46 which was above and beyond.
with that being said… your chacnes at UCSD are NOT slaughtered. in fact you should be in…
however let us “confirm”
[ucsd score](http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=pKB1yD5iQn_8wqH5bhMkhZw)

use this link and as FutureNTSurgeon had advised me: grade yourself conservatively… dont give points you are not 100% sure about…
the cutoff for this year is about 7800ish +/- (most likely minus, less likely plus…
so IF YOU GET 7800-8000 YOU HAVE A REALLY GOOD CHANCE… IF YOU GET 8001+ YOU HAVE AN EXTREMELY DEFINITELY GREAT CHANCE… (BUT THIS IS NOT 100% IN/OUT… SO DONT go about shouting im in UCSD… :D)

*PS: im sry about hte caps… i am not yelling … i accidentally pressed Caps Lock and im too lazy to type it out and for some reason im typing this message  LOL!

thanks…I used the sheet and came up with a 8200ish and a 7800-8000 conservative estimate. I didn’t know about the point system earlier, so this really helps!

Note that UCSD doesn’t have biomedical engineering. We have a bioengineering department with 4 different tracks. Which did you apply to?

lol apply to stanford or brown or something your level

High Match for UCSD. Stop stressing!
