chance a transfer for arts and sciences

Okay, so I realize I don't have a great shot, but I thought I'd give this a whirl just to see what you guys think.

I applied to UPenn in high school (regular decision) and was waitlisted-->rejected. I'm now a sophomore at NYU and I would be applying to UPenn for my junior and senior years. I would be applying as an English major.

In high school:
not sure of my gpa, I'd guess a 3.8 or so unweighted, maybe 4.0 weighted?
2100 on the SATs (750 Writing, 700 Critical Reading, 650 Math)
pretty good extracurriculars (main ones were acting and being Entertainment Editor on the school newspaper)

In college:
NYU College of Arts and Sciences
Major: Dramatic Literature, Theater History and the Cinema [basically an English major, but for plays]. Minors: Creative Writing [not offered as a major], Producing [not offered as a major]
3.7 gpa
for ECs:
freshman year--did a lot of acting, nannied
summer--interned at a TV production company, worked at a bookstore
sophomore year--working part-time at a literary agency, hoping to get another part-time job, hope to enter and possibly win a short story contest or two. I've never really submitted my work before, but I have a lot of fiction that I've just worked on on my own and in classes.

I also have legacy (grandfather, great grandfather, great aunt, aunt) and my grandfather has done work which has helped UPenn financially.

I like NYU as a school and I love the opportunities New York provides, but I am just not content with my major or the English department here. I really love UPenn and wish that I had applied early decision in high school......though perhaps that wouldn't have worked and I would be at NYU regardless.

Your SATs might be a little bit too low, but since you're a sophomore, they won't stress those as much. Your college GPA could stand to be a bit higher. You've got an OK chance, I'd say.
