Hi, I am a sophomore(rising junior) engineering major/econ minor at Michigan and currently have a 3.5 - 3.6 gpa
.
I know I missed the deadline for fall transfer, so I am planning to apply for transfer next year to get into cornell as a junior. So I am guessing if I do transfer I'll repeat a year but I dont have a problem with that.

I want to transfer into the AEM/econ program because:
1. I am sick of studying engineering
2. I DO NOT want to be an engineer at any point in my life
3. Cornell is target for ibanks. Michigan econ, not so much, and michigan engineering is probably a soft target (I dont know because logically i would think they arent but i always see BBs at engineering fairs here)

Do you think I have much of a chance for transfer? I know my gpa is low but it's from one of the top engineering programs out there and engineering is known to have deflated gpa.

Also, I am just wondering, would cornell AEM/econ be a significant upgrades in terms of opportunities available for ibanking opportunities, I mean compared to michigan engineering if I stick it out.

thanks
