Thanks guys!!!!!

It’s interesting to consider the word you used to label yourself in the thread title. Meaning that you’ve been on this forum long enough to know what it means, and thus the implications of the status in the admissions process. Now you want to be chanced with a 4.00 GPA and a 34 ACT score.

Coming from an upper middle class background, I’m sure you didn’t face too many disadvantages in life. So the question is… what do you want us to say? Here are a few options.

1). Dude! You’re a URM!!! You’re in for sure.

2). Even with your URM status, your lack of significant awards or science APs will hurt you in the admissions process.

3). Long rant about affirmative action

4). I was wondering if you can chance me too. I have a 2380 SAT score and I worked at a local hospital for 4 years!!!

hahah Gryffon thats pretty funny

but from all those options I’d probably agree with number one the most. But you never know because there all alot of people who are number one in their class and have near perfect test scores that don’t get excited. Make yourself stand out. After reading over ten thousand application the admissions office wants to see people who are academic powerhouses that also have something distinct/special about them.

And you already know being a URM is going to help
