Chance a Varsity Football Player for UF Please!

I am not sure if being a varsity football player matters or not, but please chance my daughter's boyfriend:

UF GPA = 4.3
SAT = 1750
School doesn't officially rank, but he is top 25% for sure maybe even top 15%.

IB student
Varsity athlete
non-hispanic white
Florida resident
plenty of community service/volunteer hours
decent essay about his volunteer work

anyone with knowledge of UF?

bump . . . .

no one knows about Florida schools?

I’m from Florida, he has a chance. But he has a very good chance if he applies ED. How many years of foreign language does he have and what are his ECs, besides football, like?

One of my friends actually got recruited to play for UF, he’ll be their starting quarterback for next season (he’s graduating early to train more). I’d put his football as an EC but nothing more.

There is no ED for Florida.

He has 3 years of high school Spanish like most of the kids applying to UF around here and several other ECs, like student government. Nothing really stands out other than varsity football. I really doubt that with 30k applicants UF can spend too much time evaluating ECs and essays. They want you to believe otherwise, but it is just the reality of the number of applications they receive.

He is a pretty good high school football player but could never play at the UF level.

jasonleb1- I hope oyur friend is good lol cuz Brantley is clearly not the answer and Burton I’m personally not too hung over.

^It’s Jeff Driskel, you may or may not have heard of him. You can just google him, there’s tons of stuff on him. And yes, he’s really good.

Haven’t heard of him, but if he’s as good as advertised than that wont be for long. GatorNation will be watching; I hope he does well.
