let's see, I may want to apply ed to cmu. I'm interested in creative writing, global politics or english. that's H&SS, right?

SATs: 2150
I know, I need to bring up my math. Will they hold a low math score against a potential creative writing major?
M:640 CR: 780 W: 730
SATII:
Lit: 740 US History: 750

GPA: 4.0, top 10 or 5 percent, fairly competitive but small public school

ECs: student council president, (I was junior class president, etc.) will be editor-in-chief at the school paper, co-president of a diversity club, technical director for theater (lights, sound, might want to continue this in college) also, I'm in a slew of clubs: NHS, Spanish Honor Society, SADD, National Art Honor Society, jv tennis

Volunteer: 100+ hours at retirement home, youth tennis camps, habitat for humanity, special olympics,

Obama Campaign: I've been really involved since the PA primary. Let's see, Youth Coordinator for my area during primary, youngest team captain on primary day, countless hours going door-to-door, phone calls, anything. I'm working on voter registration drives now. I'm in charge of the students for Barack Obama at my school. Hopefully, I'll be starting an internship at the Obama offices in the fall. Basically, I like Obama and I do lots of work for the campaign.

Writing: Participated in National Novel Writing Month since I was 13 (nation-wide writing marathon), written four novels (not published, should I even mention them?), attend the Pennsylvania Governor's School for the Arts for Creative Writing: Fiction

That's about it. I'm really really interested in the school, but I know it's difficult for admissions and my SATs might be too low.

thanks in advance!
