Chance AA Female getting into top schools

<p>Hey, I'm new to CC but was wondering if anyone would chance me?
*<em>SAT: 1840 :( (1st try, retake in October; I'm using the Grubers, BB, Princeton Rev, & Barrons books)
*</em>SAT2: 690 USH, 670 WH (no studying) (retake USH in November, as well as Math 1 & Spanish, WH if possible in December?)
*<em>GPA: 3.8
*</em>Rank 18/320
*<em>AP Scores- 5,5,5,4,4,3...taking 6 next year for senior courses
*</em>Hooks: URM, 1st Gen, Immigrant, Was homeless, lived in abusive home at young age</p>

Your SAT is really low for alot of those schools. I do, however, commend you on overcoming your struggles. QB is such a good option for you, but it is VERY competitive. Your SAT scores are most definitely your big weaknesses. Maybe see if ACT is more your strength? I think you need a good safety,maybe an instate public? I assume you will need a lot of financial aid (I know NYU can be a bit stingy, just as a note). </p>

<p>haha yea i was born there, but im taking the ACTs in the fall and I have 2 good safeties FSU, UF and possibly UCF</p>
