<p>I take it that you’re applying in the fall. If that’s the case, then I think you’ll be in good shape for both schools. However, in the case of UCSD you may be having a close call. Biology is a really big major at UCSD and many pre-med students attend UCSD in hopes to secure the spots at the top medical schools. Their science departments are some of the best (their engineering rivals CalTech).</p>
<p>I suggest you do TAG for UCSD (you’ll get in and most likely get into the major). From what I hear, UCD is not a stickler for pre-req’s but I am unsure of how it works for such majors as bio or biochem.</p>
<p>I am very familiar with the UCSD science major competition and I must warn you that you’re looking at some tough stuff.</p>
