Chance for: Haverford(ED), UPenn, Notre Dame(URM), Emory, University of Rochester, University of Richmond, Pitt Honors College, Pitt

Haverford(ED): Match
UPenn: Reach
Notre Dame(URM): Match
Emory: Reach
University of Rochester: Low reach
University of Richmond: Low reach
Pitt Honors College: Match
Pitt: Low reach
Good luck!

@dixiemitsy Thanks for the chance. How is Pitt Honors College a match but Pitt a low reach?

Haverford, Notre Dame, Emory, University of Rochester and University of Rochester are likely matches/lowish reaches, I’d say you’ll likely get into Pitt but I’m not sure about the honors college, and UPenn is a reach but not unachievable. I’m not an expert by any means, but good luck!

GPA will hurt you- try your best to raise it in junior year.
Notre Dame, etc- match
UPenn I think is a little reach, but if you can miraculously raise your GPA, then it’s a possibility

Haverford: High match
UPenn: Reach
Notre Dame: High match
Emory: Match
University of Rochester: Match
University of Richmond: Match
Pitt: Match

Haverford (ED): definitely match
UPenn: mid reach
Notre Dame (URM): match
Emory: (low?) reach
University of Rochester: high match/low reach
University of Richmond: same ^
Pitt Honors College: match
Best of luck!

Okay stats, but no depth. You need to start showing an interest for something asap. uPenn especially wants to see initiative in the community. Try to do something that stands out from your peers. Also try to focus on your athletics as well, being a varsity athlete is great even if you’re not recruitable.

Haverford: High math
uPenn: High reach
Emory: Low reach
Pitt Honors college: Low reach

Rest are matches. Thank you for chancing me! Good luck in your future endeavors.

@mallonsy Thanks for the chance. I have been getting a lot of matches for Haverford (ED). That is my #1 choice. I I visited once, (on my own, not actual tour) and fell in love with the environment. I taught my GPA is quite low for Havorford, is that true?

@s0phia Thanks for your chance. I have shown interest at UPenn. I recently took an official visit last week. I have also applied for a precollege program at University of Rochester. I am going to major in Biology and then aim for Med School. My goal is too become an anesthesiologist.

Upenn is a reach, Notre Dame is perfect, aanndd i dont know of the other schools you listed

@outwest88 Does it really help that I am a URM for Notre Dame?

actually I didn’t even know what that was. Just googled it. No, it’s a match either way! The fact that you’re a URM just means that they’ll give you more money in financial aid

----------Add Swarthmore ED instead of Haverford ED---------

Apply to all EA and do not include your race on your apps…good luck!

Don’t know all of these but Pitt and Rochester should be matches/ safeties. Upenn is a reach but you have a good chance

I mainly agree with mkread. I think all are matches for you with Notre Dame being a little higher of a match and U Penn being the only reach. Upper Ivies, Stanford, MIT, Caltech, etc. are really reaches for anyone because the process is ever so random and there are so many qualified students. However, if you keep working hard and staying involved, I think your stats should help you stand a good chance in Penn’s applicant pool. You have super impressive stats for a sophomore! Congratulations!

I recently heard that UPenn released there acceptance rate which was below 10%. Despite your good statistics, your extracurriculars are not really good enough to have you admitted to the prestigious institutions such as MIT and UPenn. However, I believe you still have a good chance for them and a very good chance for the others. Can you describe what you mean by “intern physician?” A medical intern is a term used in the United States for a physician in training who has completed medical school.
