Recs: Both my teachers let me see them, they're both great. One's from my AP Lang teacher, the other's from my Honors World History/APUSH/AP Gov Teacher. I also have a glowing rec from the executive director from the Youth Court that I've spent 530+ hours volunteering for that explains how I've worked towards implementing new sentencing options for defendants as our Chief Judge.

Extracurriculars

Youth Court - Currently the Chief Judge. I've been doing this since I was a freshman and have racked up over 530 hours of community service with this organization. I also participate on the organization's Executive Board, Board of Directors, and Ethics Board. I've also invested a ton of time towards creating new sentencing options for defendants.

Speech and Debate - I've been doing this since my sophomore year and am currently the team's LD debate captain. I was a semifinalist at the state tournament in LD debate my sophomore year and an octafinalist my junior year. I also was a semifinalist in Congressional Debate my junior year as well. I have attended NCFL Nationals in LD debate in both my sophomore and junior years.

Partners Club - I've been working with this club since my freshman year and am currently a co-president. We basically work with the special education kids at my school to make them feel like an important part of the school community.

Mock Trial - I did this activity this year because our team needed another attorney and I agreed to do it so that they wouldn't have to drop out of the competition. I actually learned a lot from it and plan to return next year! It was a lot of fun.

JV Tennis - I've been playing since my sophomore year. I mostly do this just for the purposes of fun and fitness. I have no realistic expectations of making varsity, but I've had fun playing tennis and I've found a sport I actually like, so that's a plus. I won't be playing senior year because of surgery, however.

We the People Team - We won the state tournament my junior year.

Constitutional Academy - Summer program in Washington D.C. where I got to spend a week learning about the Constitution. It was pretty rad.

NHS - It's kind of a joke at my school, so...

So, there you all go. I'm a bit worried about my ECs, I feel like they're a bit too disorganized and scattered. However, I do plan on going to law school after undergrad, so I guess they're relevant for that field. Thanks in advance!
