Chance an amazingly unamazing Asian Failure

I'm a 2nd generation, Asian American from SoCal (big surprise)

I go to a very competitive college-prep boarding school, supposedly the second best in the west coast. It's pretty famous around here and our college counselor is apparently 2nd best in the U.S.

GPA:

Freshman - Bs and Cs but all honors, IBs, and tech programs
Soph - solid As and two honors, transferred to current school
Junior - 4 APs, but an abysmal unweighted GPA (around 3.3) - Bs and As
Senior - another 4 APs, next year

SAT:

800 Math
680 Verbal
790 Writing

2270 Total

ECs/Awards:

-Badminton Varsity (10, 11, 12)
-Crosscountry JV (10, 11, possible Varsity letter 12)
-Academic Outreach Tutor (11, 12)
-Community Service
-Prison Library Project, Presbyterian Church Tutoring, Leroy Haynes for Troubled Youths
-Service Council (12)
-Orientation Leader (12)
-Founder and President of School Chess Club (11, 12)
-Senior Editor of School Newspaper (11, 12)
-National Merit Finalist
-Piano Level X Certificate of Achievement (since middle school)
-English Tutor in China
-Assistant to Director at JEI Learning Center (2005-2007)

Recommendations:

Lukewarm as it currently stands.
Hope to appeal more to teachers next year.

I know that my stats aren't that great but a kid can dream right?

School that I'm thinking of applying to (perhaps not very realistic):

Georgetown, Cornell, UC Berk, Duke
Northwestern, Carnegie Mellon, UCLA, University of Chicago
UC San Diego, Pepperdine University, Occidental College

Family legacy with University of Virginia and Michigan so those are in too.

Can you please chance me for each of these schools?

English tutor in China, haha!

this is just a laundry list of random things i did
i went to work in an elementary school in china for volunteer work but you can just ignore that… it does look kinda stupid

How do you know that you’re a National Merit Finalist? I’m assuming you are a junior and I just found out yesterday that I’m in the top 50,000 to be considered in the NM competition (I am a junior as well). I thought National Merit was for juniors only.

oops… i don’t know why i put that
thanks for correcting me
just ignore that or pretend that i was a semifinalist since i got a decent psat score (higher than my sat)
