Chance an american Student

Hey just looking for opinions and i don want to apply if it is going to be $100 down the drain.
so i have an 87 gpa (89 if you exclude freshman year)
31 on acts(29 single sitting)
Stong recs and all that jazz
i took real class at upenn and i got b's

Major please… McGill wants applicants to declare majors on their application. Plus chancing for McGill is incredibly major-heavy but a 89 GPA is likely to be like a 3.6-3.8.

Additionally, if you intend to make that class at UPenn count towards something at McGill, make sure you have the UPenn transcript sent to them.

i have a quick question about applications…what does the document upload transcript thing mean? mcgill’s website says that the transcripts are unofficial so what exactly may i suppose to upload?

The McGill website has detailed instructions on how to upload transcripts – my D went into her high school guidance counselor’s office and the 2 of them did it together. The difference between the uploaded transcripts and the “official” transcripts is official transcripts are your final transcripts upon graduation. These are hard copy, original transcripts sent by your high school to McGill by mail (or Fed Ex, as we used).

Hope this helps.

yah, i had the transcript sent to all the schools that i applied to. And i think i am gonna apply under the b arts and sci, with a backup program of b of arts

Honestly, you have a very good chance because Canadian universities tend to like internationals because they can charge you a bit extra. Of course, it depends what you want to major in but you will most likely get in.
