good application pal, i think it might be like this

Harvard: mid reach
Princeton: mid/low reach
Yale: idk
cornell: match/low reach
dartmouth: idk
u of chicago: you are in
notre dame: in
johns hopkins: idk
UCB: slight reach
other UC’s: I have no idea

i think you have good stats. I would just say to get something that makes you stand out. There are good things in there, but if you can, make something stand out to the ad officers. Also, write killer essays and do interviews. Other than that, just see how it goes. gl

I am also a future senior from Ontario private school applying to US schools (with comparable SAT scores/GPA too). You have decent chances at all of these top schools but with so many well qualified applicants these days, admissions officers are really stressing fit and match. In your essays (particularly your “Why X School” essays), I would advice you to stress your match/fit with your major by describing and elaborating upon your extracurricular activities (which, by the way, seem to correspond well with your potential major).

That’s all I can say. Good luck.

P.S. Do you go to Appleby College by any chance?

At a top private school, your biggest issue is that many of your classmates will be applying to the same schools. They are your first line of competition. Colleges will know where you rank as compared to each other. So much depends on who else is applying and any hooks they may have.

Princeton is not a ‘low reach’ for a val with a 2400. and HYP are highly unlikely for a non val, 2250 with no stand out ECs.

At the rest of the ivies, you are an average candidate. Some with your stats will get in, most won’t. Again, it will come down to the competition from your school, region and country as a whole and the quality of your application.

Each ivy will take a handful of Canadians. If many top hockey players are available, they will take several of those spots.
