Expecting a fantastic recommendation and a pretty good essay.

Thanks for the input. I forgot to add that my interview went pretty well, it actually lasted about an hour and a half (way longer than I had expected) and ended with my interviewer saying that he would “put in a good word for me.”

I sent my SAT Subject Tests the day before the application was due so I don’t know if they will be considered as a part of my evaluation.
However, I took two tests and got a 750 in US History and a 660 in English Lit. I’m retaking English Lit and am also taking World History in December in case I get deferred.

If they didn’t receive those, I wouldn’t have my hopes set too high on getting in early. What are you aiming for on World History? I think a 700+ on lit and WH will make your app strong.

I’m aiming for a 700+ on both exams. I’m curious about how much it impacts my chances for them not to receive these scores. Since it is EA applications that they are reading, I feel like a good amount of applicants will not have yet completed SAT Subject Scores. Additionally, the website says not to rush these scores because EA admissions is based on the first three years of high school.

Anybody else want to evaluate my chances? Your help is greatly appreciated!!!

I wouldn’t worry about Subject Tests…I applied early to Georgetown and haven’t sent any (taking in December). From how much I stalk this website, plenty of people get in without them early.

Thanks for your input. Anybody else want to give it a try?

Over 500 views and only a total of 10 responses? The only thing lower than Georgetown’s acceptance rate is the percentage of people who are willing to post on this thread!

We will see how important the subject tests are on December 15. If they want you, they won’t care about the subject tests, but I think your chances are significantly lower without them. It’s just common reasoning. Why would they rush to accept someone who hasn’t submited subject tests unless other parts of his app are undoubtedly convincing? Yes, it’s possible to get in early without them, but there are plenty who have submitted at least one subject test that are applying early action.

I think you will get in either early or regular ;)
