Chance an Entrepreneur for Wharton?

Will chance back! Wharton is definitely my first choice. I'm just wondering whether or not I have a shot!

Objective
GPA: 3.4775 UW
freshmen year: 2.7
sophomore year: 3.5

senior: 3.95 s1

Huge academic turn around, went from pre algebra in 9th grade to calculus in senior year. My essay's talk about how entrepreneurship had a positive impact on my grades and I put an additional essay about my undiagnosed social anxiety.
State: MI
ACT: 30 (32 m, 32 e, 27 r, 27 s, 10 w) Was expecting a 33 due to practice tests, but eh!
Top 25% of class

Essays & Recs:
Teacher Rec #1: 10/10 He talks about me in class every day
Teacher Rec #2: 9/10 I talk to him daily about mathematics and programming. We're pretty good friends.
Counselor Rec: 8/10 *pretty standard, but she likes me
Essays: Pretty good, talk about my entrepreneurship and passion for business and investing. My why Penn essay is really good!

schools I applied to
MSU - Accepted
UChicago - Waitlisted (my UChicago essay was definitely not too good. Talked about entrepreneurship at chicago, but I think it should have focused on intellectual matters).

UPenn (Wharton)

your EC’s are great, but your actual academic record does not seem too strong, especially for wharton. the upward trend in grades is positive, but i just don’t know if the numbers are strong enough for such an academically demanding school. decent chance, because it’s really all subjective. really depends on your essays i think.

U definitely have a shot. I think penn will appreciate the upward trend. And yeah, i guess a lot depends on the voice, life and strength of ur essay.

In a non-■■■■■ and non-inflammatory way, the GPA and the ACT scores kill the deal. Quite frankly, very small proportion of your stats get in, so you odds aren’t even the low acceptance rate that Penn toutes. Unless you’re an URM/First-Generation (if you are, auto-in), chances are slim.

Thanks for the opinions! @Uchicago, I was always worried about that. I was in the bottom 50% on standardized tests prior to sophomore year, so I really hope colleges will see the transformation i’ve had (I wrote the optional essay on the common app about that and my anxiety and its affect on my academic performance). My dad went to college, but my mom did not. So sadly I’m not a first generation.

I would appreciate more opinions, and I’ll update this tomorrow!
