Chance an European International

<p>Hey I am new here on CC and have a question about my chances of regular admission into Stern. </p>

<p>International Applicant from Albania/Greece</p>

GPA out of 4.0; International school with a graduating class of 28

W: 3.93
Rank: Top 10%
IB Billingual Diploma: 36 (Was predicted 41; we were a first year IB school - tough luck xD)
SAT: M760, CR740, W740 (One sitting)
SAT II: Lit770, Phy800, Math II 770</p>

<p>Recommendations
History Teacher: Should be great, went on holidays with him to South America after graduation
Economics Teacher: Should be good as well, he stated I was his favourite student but who knows the truth...
Counsellor: Same, worked with her for two year for CAS</p>

<p>founded a firm with 3 friends (consumes most of my time, 10 h per week now), several successful gastronomical projects here in Tirana, exceedded revenue expectations by 18% and delivered a 4.5% return

English Interpreter (Freelance, usually 2 hours per week)

<p>Essays: I put effort into them, beyond that...who knows?</p>

Currently on a gap year: travelling, researching, taking courses in Finance at local university (motivation stems from the firm)

<p>Other choices: Harvard and Columbia (Perhaps you could state my chances on those as well if you like).</p>

<p>Everything looks great, I think you’ll get into NYU for sure - and the campanology thing looks pretty unique, not the typical extracurricular. </p>

<p>As for Columbia and Harvard, they’re a bit more selective, but I think you have good chances overall. To be honest, a lot of people get rejected from those schools even if they’re qualified, because there simply aren’t enough spots, so you never know. But I think your application would be pretty impressive, assuming you write strong essays. Good luck with everything! :] </p>

<p>Also, I’m curious…Harvard/Columbia don’t have undergrad business programs, so you’ll likely study Economics instead…why not do Economics in NYU-CAS instead of Stern? CAS teaches liberal arts, like harvard/columbia, whereas Stern is business and career focused.</p>
