Chance an international for some top colleges (MIT, Stanford, and a couple more)

Basics:
Male
High School Senior
International - Middle Eastern

Grades:
All straight A's. My 11th grade final average was 97%.

SAT I: 2210 - 790 CR, 740 M, 680 W

SAT II: Math II: 800, Math I: 770, World History:800, Physics: 780
I'm still planning to take Bio, Chem, and Lit.

AP's: This is the first year my school is offering them, and to the best of my knowledge nobody in my area does. Probably taking AP Cal, Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, World History, and Computer Science.

Class Rank: 2 or 3/60...

Classes:
You can't pick classes in my school: it's pretty standardized, but we do have a strong US-based curriculum. Math, Biology, and Chemistry are all considered AP classes in my school. Everything else is typical college prep.

EC's: This is probably where my application is weakest. Not much of of EC's. People who do them are rare, because people who want to hire high-schoolers or have their help are even rarer.

I did do some volunteering supervision over elementary students in my area (throughout my freshman year. ~50 hours), as well as participating in the debate team whenever it was available. Furthermore, my school requires all students to have around 60 hours of community service to graduate. No sports though.

Oh yeah, I'm also applying for Financial Aid.

Please chance me for:
MIT
Stanford
Carnegie Mellon
UC Berkeley

Much appreciated!!! :D :D

Depending on the specific country you’re from and the amount of competition from it, all looked reasonable until I got to the financial aid part.

You can completely forget Berkeley which won’t be giving a cent to internationals this year, CMC is tough to get much from and while MIT and Stanford can be generous, they are not need blind to internationals and have very little funds for them. Those funds generally go to kids who have top awards/honors in their country. Even at CMC, the kids we know who got more than just a little aid were extremely accomplished at home.

As long as you have great backups at home, give them a try–but this will be an exceptionally tough year for internationals needing aid and if a US school is your goal, you need to go way down the rankings list to start having a decent chance.

^that’s exactly what i thought. You have no chance at Berkeley if you need financial aid.
