Chance an international student applying ED

copied this from another chance thread of mine, sorry if that annoys you

I'm an international student applying ED to Wash U. I did think number-based chance threads like this are a little useless and I know it's hard to predict chances without looking at essays, recommendations and stuffs, but now I'd be thankful if someone can at least give me some input about my chances based on my stats because I don't know if I even stand a chance, considering I'm an international with HUGE financial need

Gender: M
Location: Vietnam
College Class Year: 2013
Will apply for financial aid: Yes (I need a lot of aid actually)

Senior year predicted GPA: 8.8/10 (which is above average but not top-notch. Just to give you an idea it's very hard to find a student with a GPA better than 9.1 in my high school)
Class rank: school doesn't officially rank, but based on GPA I was ranked 4/40 in my class last year)

Scores:
SAT I Math: 770
SAT I Critical Reading: 670
SAT I Writing: 770
Total: 1440/2210

My letters of recommendation are great, but I think my essay is so-so, nothing spectacular.

Extracurriculars: (mediocre at best)

An English club - website admin
Class soccer team - Captain
Some community services working with needy/ disabled children - 200 hours in total
Working for a student-run tour guide group in my city

Vietnam Youth Forum

Since I'm from Vietnam obviously I cannot do campus visits or interviews, and I don't think email conversations count as good enough a way to show interest.

My personal statement is kind of okay but not great, and I haven't finished it yet (can you believe it ?!!). Important question: do you think Wash U puts a lot of emphasis on the personal statement in the admission process?

Thank you!

Showing interest isn't a problem if you apply ED (since it's a binding agreement), so don't worry about that.
