I would suggest that you apply to Purdue University.

yeah i had purdue on my list at one point.. ill take a look at it again, thanks

You aren't considering any of the SUNYs?

the only school i thought about was suny stony brook but neh...btw im open to private schools too

since money's so important, apply to SUNYs. A lot of them are really good and very cost effective. Since you wanna do math, I'd suggest Stony Brook or Buffalo.

id rather go to asu tho and i have better chances at that school anyway..

anyone wanna give me another chance?

Just some percentages that aren't very scientific...

wow is it really that easy to get into michigan state? .. might just apply to ASU, MSU, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota.. because those are my top schools..

Arizona SU - safety

(basically, what stone_cutter said) For MSU, your GPA is quite a bit lower than average but your SAT is in the top 25 percentile. Especially if you apply early (i.e. before november) you have a good chance of getting in

sucks that im poor..but oh well i guess worst comes to worse debt is better than no education

do you guys think i should take off any schools? I was thinking about taking off Wisconsin Madison since id probably rather got to Michigan State than there anyway..and their aid is the same..

Yeah, if I were you I'd take off Wisconsin-madison if you would rather go to MSU anyways. At Wisconsin-madison, they don't even give you automatic consideration for scholarships (everything you must apply for). I applied to wisconsin-madison also, but after admitted I decided that I prefered MSU a lot more and wished that I hadn't bothered (and withdrew my app shortly after). Just one less application to do.

interesting, yeah im pretty sure i was going to take it off my list anyway but the scholarship thing had come across my mind, does anyone know if any of my other schools require specific scholarship application or they all automatically consider for it? Thanks!

And chances are great too :D

Automatically considered for scholarships:
Arizona SU
Indiana U
Michigan SU
U Arizona
U Maryland Coll Park
U Minn Twin Cities

Either requires separate application for all scholarships or do not know:
U Illinois Urbana
U Wis Madison
U Mass Amherst

Of course even the ones that automatically consider you for merit scholarships also have additional scholarships that do require separate applications. The ones you get automatically qualified for are solely based on your application as is and are the larger merit based ones typically

University of Alabama. I can't personally recommend it but you should do your own research. They throw around money like you wouldn't believe.

interesting ill look into it

cmon i need more chances
