Chance an *unusual applicant*, also a newbie! I'll chance back!

Hey, I'm a new poster, but I've been reading CC for a while. And I'm bored so I though I might do this. I think my app is a little unusual (good or bad? idk), because of my heavy focus in just a few things, rather spread out over a lot of things.

wow. very impressive. but you’re asian, so that’s expected. anyway, I would say you’ll get into at least one of the ivies/caltech/stanford, case western is a safety, and other schools are matches. good luck! chance back please? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1440723-chance-russian-student-columbia-brown-princeton-yale.html

Thanks! I’ll chance back.

Bumping this thread. . . . . . …

How is this unusual?

^ I’m wondering the same thing wallrus75

you’re just another applicant, make sure you like your safety schools

good luck

The one thing that stood out most was the executive board portion. I’m not too sure about the insults in your essays, as it is always kind of risky to mention “controversial” things. I would say that the only parts that don’t match up to the rest are your number of AP tests, GPA, and ranking, but frankly, that doesn’t matter in your case. You have so many stellar extracurriculars. I’d say you’re in at CW, Cornell, NYU, NW, Rice, UChicago, and UPenn, and as for the rest, there’s really no definite answer but I’d chance you at very likely.
