Please let me know what you think my chances at U Chicago are, and any of the other top 20 schools. Thanks

Are you a U.S. citizen?
Why do you think U Chicago is a good fit for you?
Your scores are on the low side for top schools ...

Your scores aren't that bad. You might consider retaking it if you're applying to other top schools though. U. of Chicago cares a lot more about your personal characteristics, which you should showcase in your essays and recommendations. Your senior year class schedule was very rigorous, and the University will notice that. Your class rank is good, you seem to dedicate yourself to your extracurricular activities, and your GPA is good considering the fact that you took 5 AP courses. Your personal background will also help. Because you didn't mention your other classes besides senior year, it seems like you just moved to the U.S, and if this is the case your test scores and GPA will shine even more. Make sure you show your interest in U. of Chicago. Consider joining the mailing list and talking to representatives of the school. I think you have a really good shot of going to U. Chicago. I don't know about the other 20 schools though, but don't just apply to certain schools because they're at the top. Figure out the schools you really want to go to, and then apply to those.

I'd say you're in if you have good essays. Maybe raise the SAT II's a little. You're scores are just fine for UChicago(SAT I at least), and the university doesn't really care that much about them anyway. Are you an international student applying for aid?

no im a permanent resident but i was just born outside the country lol

Academically, you're strong enough to be considered and your scores are fine (my SATs were much lower, and I got in!) but I agree that the challenge at Chicago is not showing that you're smart, but rather showing why you belong at Chicago of all places.

UChicago doesn't want those kids who just apply to all the USNews top 10. They are only interested in people who actually really want to go there. Therefore the applicant pool is quite self-selecting. So what you've gotta do is make sure they know you actually really want to go there. Show it in your essays and put some real passion into them.
