Chance at GT? I'll chance back!!!

Currently a 16yr old senior graduating in December, won't go into college until next Fall though. (will work spring).

I will be living at home, if possible, and just take classes at GT (I live very close). I skipped 2 grades and can make a fantastic essay out of that, so maybe that helps?

My highschool calculated GPA is 3.9375, competitive highschool (IB program, inflated gpa's due to that, but i'm still top 10% almost).

My GT gpa i just calculated is about a 3.4583 not including this semester.

I've taken 7 AP classes and tons of honors, so my class rigor is just fine.

1650 SAT including writing, 1120 without writing (610 math, 540 reading, 510 writing. This was my first try, and I'm currently taking a class so it's possible I can boost this up a lot.

White male, very good recommendations possible

EC include
-Varsity Tennis team (4yrs)
-Tennis team MVP
-Tennis team captain (3yrs),
-FCA
-Chickfila (job, don't know if this counts?)
-Hundreds of hours of helping teachers at an elementary school with grading/helping out (can I guess on the hours? it's hundreds and they would sign off on however many)
-Chess Club
-National honors society

Thanks :) and tell me anything I can do to improve

bump

10char.

Everything you wrote sounds impressive. I do want to note that your SAT score is below the competitive range (1900-2130). This means that 25% of applicants are accepted below that score and 25% higher. You may do better on the ACT, with the competitive range being 27-32. I myself am just below the competitive range for the SAT (with an 1890) but I scored a 30 on the ACT a month after taking the SAT, putting myself well within the competitive range. Also, Georgia Tech superscores both the SAT and ACT so if you score better in a certain section, it will raise your overall score which is the only one Georgia Tech considers. Just something to consider.

I do, however, want to let you know that Georgia Tech does not want any recommendations at all. Georgia Tech only wants your application filled out (essay and all) and will make the decision from there. They also won’t want your actual transcript until after they make the decision to accept you, if they do.

I hope this provides some insight :)

Thanks :)

Hoping to raise my total SAT score at least another 200pts with class (going to take it another 2-3x). The first time I didn’t study at all because I found out the day before I was taking the SAT, haha.

and thanks for the info about the recommendation among other things.
