<p>Sport management is a competitve major at UMass… it is one of the best programs in the country. Your SAT scores are 1190, which is slightly above average for the university as a whole and your 3.6 GPA is average for UMass. The AP classes and the internship will help you although based on stats alone your chances don’t seem too high, even for regular management. What was your internship? Try retaking the SAT and write a kick-ass essay and your chances would be better. </p>
<p>Applying for undecided might be a good idea, as it is may be easier to transfer into the major if you work hard than to get into the program with your stats (which aren’t necessarily bad).</p>

<p>I’m a sports management major, but I don’t like to comment on chance me threads. But if you don’t get accepted, but still get accepted into the university, you can reapply to transfer into the program. As long as you do good in the predictor courses (Micro, macro, math, intro to sport management, etc) and are involved in athletics here, you should be able to transfer in at no problem.</p>
