It seems that people who post these chance threads aren't getting told to go to that "Final Answer on Admissions" thread, so I'm going to jump in.

Probably depends on what program you’re applying for. GPA seems low, but (for example) if you’re a musical prodigy, and applying for Thornton, could be OK. You have better legacy connections than most, which might help…

If you can pay full freight, then I think you’ll get in, but if not, then no, your record is a recipe for a rejection. If USC is need blind and you can afford to go without aid, weave that into your essay directly and don’t apply for aid. Overall, I regret to say your chances are remote.

Hmm - I’ll play. In June you asked to be chanced for IVY leagues with the following stats:

Since I’m one of many who sends students to Madbean’s excellent post on how none of us can predict USC in a chance thread because they only take 17 percent and it’s often subjective,

And since the stats you posted two months ago don’t match the ones you’re posting now, I’ll weigh in an opinion which is meaningless because we can’t chance most students anyway. Just too unpredictable.

Chance for admission - slim to none unless your legacy status is enough of a pull because your family are major donors. At best you might get Trojan transfer (1-2 years of college somewhere else to prove you can keep up with rigor and reapply with 3.7 average or higher in whatever rigorous college courses they suggest).

Nice fishing ArtsandLetters, you caught a ■■■■■. Someone with true intentions of getting into USC wouldn’t have time for such nonsense. The legacy in the most recent post raised suspicion…who with such legacy would need to ask cc such a question? With that kind of legacy chain there is likely to be a building with their name on it.

@CADreamin - the OP was called out on a different post as well. But I figured with so many prospective students trying to read the tea leaves when reading someone else’s threads - they’d take this on its face without the background data. So i “fished” for the truth and yep - ■■■■■. Hence - “slim to none” chances. USC doesn’t admit those :-)
