Hey, just looking for some direction for my senior year - these are my current stats, I’m going to ED Northwestern in the Fall. I would love some advice on how to improve my application. Currently a junior at a decently competitive school, Naviance plots my stats as being low for Northwestern (sad)
SAT: did not take yet
ACT: 35 (36 English, 35 Math, 36 Reading, 34 Science)
Subject Tests: did not take yet
Unweighted GPA: 3.738 (sudden upward trend)
Weighted GPA: 4.296
Rank: N/A
AP: Computer Science, Lang, US History (haven’t taken them yet)
Senior Year Course Load: AP Lit, AP Calc, AP Phys, AP Japanese, AP Econ(Micro/Macro), AP Gov
Major Awards: Pretty much nothing, likely for National Merit Semifinalist but nothing big
I applied for NHS but they haven’t announced results yet
Extracurriculars (by next year): Marching band (4yrs), Coding club (3yrs), Japanese club (4yrs), Amnesty (2yrs), church yg (4yrs), semi-selective choir (2yrs), a few honor bands/events
Volunteering: Tutoring in english at school, helping kids at Korean school, once in awhile helping out for band, misc. volunteering for Japanese events
Other Stuff: I ‘volunteer’ in the church orchestra, attended/won a few awards in minor instrument competitions (one at NU), went to NU a lot to perform back in middle school choir?
will have leadership in a few of these by next year
