<p>My GPA is a 4.60 on a 5.00 scale. Rank 49 out of 700 people.

Math II - 730</p>

<p>AP -
APUSH, Geog, Env Sci, English Language, French Language, Psychology, Biology - all 5s.</p>

<p>Taken all AP/PAP classes. </p>

<p>Extra Curriculars -
- Debate – 3 time national qualifier, 3 time state qualifer, placed top 8 at national competition, officer, devote (9-12)
- Yearbook – Chief Editor (top position), yearbook staff is top 10 in the nation, spend at least 40hrs/week (10-12)
- National Honor Society – Treasurer, organize volunteer events (10-12)
- Unicef Volunteering Club – Vice President, organize many volunteering events, devoted (9-12)
- International Club – Officer (9-12)</p>

<p>Volunteer –
Besides school volunteering activities:
- Summer Teaching Institute – I am an intern here and I help teachers teach young children about sciences.
- Museum – I volunteer regularly at a museum
- Hospital – Probably doesn’t go under here, but for a month in the summer, I shadowed a heart doctor.
- School – I’ve organized around 4 volunteering events</p>

Yearbook – Top 10 in Nation, Best in Show @ State
Guitar – UIL Gold</p>

The one from my yearbook teacher should be amazing and the one from my counselor should be above average. My other teacher’s rec shouldn’t be good, but not amazing.</p>

<p>really, i dont get the crave for “chancing.” you guys obviously dont know who will get in and who won’t get in for sure, nor do you know how accurate your chance predictions are unless the school publishes this information. there are so many subjective parts to admissions… so unless you want to post some essays and snag a copy of your lors and share to all of CC, this “chancing” business wont help much at all. </p>

<p>take solace in the fact that your app looks pretty good on paper. really nail those essays, make them personal, etc, and hope for the best. good luck to you.</p>

<p>word of advice - quality over quantity. remove unnecessary filler from your app - especially if it contains stuff you are not interested in or interested in continuing in college. it dilutes your other ECs and accomplishments and makes your application a little more unfocused.</p>
