extracurriculars include a job, volunteering at church, tutoring for a year, and an audition youth orchestra for 7 years.

I'm a student that gets a lot of Bs with a pretty difficult class schedule - how much does this hurt me? My grade trend is very flat -- My GPA stays around the same weighted with a dip in unweighted GPA during junior year

If anyone can tell me the differences between ME and EE, that'd also be great.

Thanks, if you made it all the way through this...

Your ACT score is great, your weighted GPA is good, and your course rigor is also good. All things considered, I’d say you have a better than average change of being accepted into engineering because of your ACT composite.

One explanation for the differences between mechanical, electrical and civil engineering is in an old engineering joke:

Three engineers are together discussing the meaning of life and their work and the discussion turns to God and the human body:

Mechanical engineer: God must have been a mechanical engineer. Look at the design and perfection of all the moving parts in your body, your arms, legs, perpetually working internal mechanical parts such as your pumping heart, kidneys, liver, and everything together promoting movement. No doubt about it, God was a mechanical engineer.

Electrical Engineer: No, no, God was an electrical engineer. Consider all those nerves serving different electrical functions everywhere, the speed of messages from brain to body, the wiring is just perfect and the most complex in existence. Yep, God was definitely an electrical engineering:

Civil Engineer: Nope, you are both wrong, God was undoubtedly a civil engineer. Who else would put a hazardous waste pipe in the middle of a recreation area?

haha, thanks to both for your input, but i cant decide if me or ee would be easier or more enjoyable to me. from what i understand, ee has more abstract thinking, which im fine with, but having the ability to visualize many things, like in me, gives me a lot more comfort in problem solving.

so is ee really difficult if you like visualization, or no?
