Schools I'm applying to:
- Harvard
- UC Berkeley
- UVA
- UChicago
- Georgetown
- George Washington
- University of Maryland, College Park

Harvard- it’s a reach for anyone. with the GPA… it’s unlikely. but your SAT is great and solid ECs so it’s possible.
UC Berkeley- That’ll be tricky since you’re not from California. Low reach, probably.
UVA- high match. GPA will kill you at UVA.
UChicago- their admissions rate just went down quite a bit this year. low reach.
Georgetown- high match
George Washington- don’t know enough about it, sorry.
University of Maryland, College Park- I’m thinking safety.

^woahzoe, I think you meant to indicate that UVA was a LOW match, as in closer to a reach? I disagree, but I also think you have your terminology wrong.

Harvard- Doubtful.
UC Berkeley- Also doubtful, since you’re OOS.
UVA- Match. They’re rather persnickety about GPA, but you may be able to make up for that with the rest of your record.
UChicago- Ah. This is a sad one. A year ago, yes. This year, no. They experienced a 42% increase in applicants this year, so their admissions process isn’t as holistic as it used to be. This is what knocked them off of my list; they’ve grown out of my league. I’d say a reach.
Georgetown- Match.
George Washington- You’ve got a good chance here.
University of Maryland, College Park- I think you’ll get in.

Just out of curiosity, do you mean you are a rising senior, or that you’re graduating soon?

^^ Nope, I meant high match, as in closer to a reach
I think it would be a match if she were in-state.

Your scores are fantastic, but your GPA will destroy your chances at some of these top schools.

bump…

did you really need to make this topic 3 times?

ACT score - 34
SATscore - 2350
^Didn’t you say you had 36 ACT??
We caught a ■■■■■ here.
