I applied to Pitt using the Prestige app towards the end of September, and was informed in the middle of October that they would want my mid year grades + additional SATs before reconsidering me for Swanson School of Engineering. I applied with a weighted gpa of 3.68 (school doesn't send unweighted, though I believe my unweighted gpa is between 3.45 and 3.5), 63/227 in class (terrible freshman year with sharp upward trend), my LORs, a rough draft of my common app essay and my SAT scores (700 cr, 600 math, 580 writing, 1880 cumulative). I managed to raise my SAT to a 2050 and my gpa mid-year will be somewhere between a 3.6 and a 3.8. Do I have any chance of getting in if I send in my resume with all my EC's (4 Year varsity athlete, 300+ volunteer hours, club leadership positions, etc) when I send in my mid-year grades, or should I just not bother sending the rest of my information?

Others may add to this, but I personally think you have a pretty good shot with your improvements. I would definitely send in all the supplemental information even if just to show that you are serious about Pitt. Even perhaps send in an essay.

Pitt told me they want my dec. sats and mid year grades too. I applied to the business school. 3.66 weighted GPA and 1830 SAT (m 620 cr 550 wr 660)
