Chance for Brown?

Hi guys. I am a junior still in high school in grade 11. My dream school is brown. Below is my current info for high school information.

Academic:

All A's with one B in science (mind you sciences/math field is not my strength)

Grade ten all Outstanding Contributions in my classes

Achieved honors since middle school and received honors with distinction

Certificate of contribution to Pennies for Peace for volunteering

Voluteered at Peddle Heads for kids every summer

Received outstanding effort in all my classes

All teachers positive comments about me on all report cards..blown away when I realized no negative

Did reading buddies at the local centre of our town for all of winter break

Have a lot of community serive hours don't know how much but school says I have more than the required I'm in the above average range

I still have not written my SAT's, I am still studying for it but my score total in all for practice test is around 2240 is that a good score for an Ivy spot or a general score for all universities?

I have numerous athletic awards as well 1st place, 2nd place, 7th place 3rd

Athletics:

I am on the senior Rowing team and Rugby team for my school

I am also in a rowing club outside of school

Part time job at the local food store, grocery boy/shelves food

I am also applying for JSA this summer at GeorgeTown for AP GOV Politics also summer@brown later in the summer

I have many more things to update but this is the general overview so far but I will be adding a lot more things.

Your ECs are a little weak. Sure, you have done a lot but there doesn’t seem to be anything outstanding. Brown will be a low reach.

I’d say Brown was a high reach unless you’re getting recruited. It’s got a <10% acceptance rate, and many of the people applying there have similar stats. Wait until you’ve taken the real SAT to get chanced.

& and you’d need to post what classes you’re taking to get accurate responses. A school like Brown wants applicants that took the most challenging courses offered.

You will need leadership roles in both your ECs and your community service work to be a viable candidate. You should seek leadership roles in organizations where you can show actual results; being president of some school club that you founded that accomplished nothing is pretty much worthless. Likewise, logging in lots of hours in volunteering is not impressive – being able to describe what you accomplished, in your essays and interview, is important.
