I do plan to retake the SAT I at January sitting. I have called up all of these colleges and they do accept January SAT's. I believe my score can improve 100+ points.

Do you guys have any recommendations for other colleges that fit my stats? I'm open to any and all suggestions.

I think a very good chance for BU, and a good chance for NYU. UMich depends on in-state/out of state. And I think Harvey Mudd is a bit of a reach, it is a very math-minded school, the math SAT 50% is 750-800!

i have important and very good advice. GET SOME MORE EC’S AND GET PASSIONATE ABOUT THEM. Your sat and gpa is fine. You will probably get into all those colleges with better EC’s. FYI waste of time retaking the SAT. lol

Thanks everyone for the chances! Yes, I know my EC’s are lacking and my GPA could be better. Do you recommend any other colleges that can be a good fit for me…?

being from boston i can say that Tufts will be a reach solely bases on your GPA. but every school varies in difficulty so i cannot really judge your gpa. BU yes. NYU probable to highly probable.

Phew… well, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I think I might have to be a little tougher on this.

Tufts - Low Reach/Mid Reach
NYU - High Match/Low Reach
UMich - High Match
BU - High Match
Harvey Mudd - Mid Reach/High Reach (that math SAT score is going to hurt big time if it doesn’t improve).

In terms of recommending some colleges that might be good fits, depending on what major you want to go into, I say you would be In at Pitzer and would have a better chance at McKenna as opposed to Mudd. For further recommendations we would have to know your major / any hooks / etc.
