Chance for CALS AEM or ILR ED

Hey guys, this is my first post I'm pretty new to this so sorry if I forget something.

Anyways, I want to apply ED to Cornell's CALS school, specifically to AEM. My second choice school is going to be ILR. Frankly, I don't care where my first year or so at Cornell is occupied so long as I can transfer to what I want to do in any form if my interests may happen to change. Right now I'm fairly certain I am going to pursue something in business/econ in some fashion.

Any honest (brutally honest) advice is welcome thanks again.

Cumulative Unweighted GPA at College Prep School is ~ 97 (Most recent 96.74)
-I am a Senior right now, first marking period is closing soon and with 4 AP classes (AB Calc, Gov, Bio, Lang and Comp) I'm looking at about a 95.
-Pretty much every marking period since 2nd quarter freshman year there has been a rising trend on my grades.

Freshman Year Classes: Religious Studies, Regular Bio, Spanish, Geometry, AP World History, Regular English

Sophomore Year Classes: Religious Studies, Regular Chem, Chinese 1, Trig Honors, Regular European History, Regular English

Junior Year Classes: Religious Studies, Regular Physics, Chinese 2, Regular Pre-Calc, Regular US History (Challenged AP Exam and got a 5), AP Lit and Comp

Senior Year Classes- Religious Studies, AP Bio, AP Gov, Chinese 3, AP Calc AB, AP Lang and Comp

SAT:
Reading: 690
Math: 650
Writing: 680
1340/2020

SAT Subject Tests:
Had a snafu in October testing (power was out and make up day was inconvenient) so I am taking them in November. I plan on taking US History, Literature, and Math 1 and plan on getting above 700 on at least two of them (US History and Lit (probably Math 1 as well but it is challenging for me)).

Extracurricular:
- Rowing- Big, huge, massive time commitment
- Political Club
- Big Brother- Play a big leadership roll in helping and tutoring freshmen individually.
- Mu Alpha Theta Mathematics Society
- National Honors Society
- Tons of community service
- Took week long immersion trip out of state living in simplicity and doing service work

Essays:
- Pretty killer commonapp essay I have been told.
- Supplemental essays are yet to be written but will be pretty good as well.

Recommendations:
- Math and English teacher recommendation- both will be glowing I'm sure.
- Outside recommender is the teacher who lead my out of state service trip- also will be glowing.
- All great and interesting people, I'm glad I picked them.

That's about it. Thanks again guys!

Aem and ILR are both very fit oriented. You would have to have a reason why you want to go to that school. ILR is probably easier to get into.

Whatever you do, don’t apply to both. Neither school will take you.

What do you mean - is it a bad idea to take one of these colleges as your first choice and the other as second choice? Why, will they dismiss my app because of that?
I thought it’s absolutely fine to pick two choices…? I’m confused :(
