Chance for Columbia, UPenn, UChicago =)

I just visited/interviewed at uchicago and wasn’t too excited  I guess that narrows down my list by one haha

any other feedback??

Columbia: Reach
Upenn: Low Reach
UChicago: High match
Stanford: Reach
Dartmouth: Low Reach
Brown: Low Reach
UC Berkley: Safety
Pomona College: Safety

Youre stats and ECs are honestly amazing. Good luck!

bump bump bump

You have monster stats and ECs. Your ECs are just disgustingly good. The fact that they aren’t typically “asian” will also bode well for you. I would Columbia, Wharton, and Stanford at reaches. However, I would put Penn CAS, Darmouth, and Brown at low reaches for you. U Chicago is a low reach/high match (as long as your essays are strong and well since you’re a writer the likelihood of that is pretty high). UC Berkely and Pomona you’re pretty much in.
Chance me back (chance TheIllusionist actually)? That’s the account that i posted on, when this one was temporarily hacked)

oh and huntsman you have a good shot so apply!

Columbia > Princeton (in terms of business)

Sorry, I’m not super CC-fluent! But in terms of a reach, does that mean it would be worthwhile applying early? I don’t want to waste my early round for a school I don’t have a good shot at anyway. Thanks!

You’ll probably get into any college you apply to.

Yep even for CC you are an insane applicant. Your probably in to at least one of them if not all.

And how important are AP scores? Our school had an admin issue so multiple AP exams were cancelled. We’re retaking those exams, and I don’t feel as ready as I was in May. It’s so unfair since I think I did really well on my May exams in chem, history, calc. Econ wasn’t cancelled. I got a 5 on macro and a 4 on micro.

You have a great chance everywhere, but with acceptance rates of 10%, and everyone being a top applicant, it really is a crapshoot nowadays.

You may want to put some southern schools on that list. And some more midwestern schools on that list. The farther away you get from the west coast and the east coast, the better you will look, and the more unique your high scores will be.

Wow. Those are stats are amazing. I don’t know if anyone mentioned it yet, but you need a foreign language sat for huntsman. But it seems like Spanish would be a good language for you. You really should check their website. They have student/alumni profiles and everything. It’s really nice. If you are really into huntsman, you have to apply ED. It is not mandatory, but huntsman is probably as competitive, if not more so, as Harvard. But Penn SAS (or is it CAS?) is still really good, and if you applied RD, you’d have a very good chance. I’d go with Columbia ED, if I were you. Or no ED at all, since you are amazing. Stanford EA if you confident. Good luck!!! I would love to be in your shoes. We should pee into the same fountain!! Hahaha, sorry, that was a horrible movie.

I wanted to comment on a misleading post on this thread: Columbia SIPA is a graduate program, not an undergraduate college. Georgetown has an undergraduate School Of Foreign Service, but Columbia has no equivalent.

Thanks for the note stagemum. At this point, I’m into a mesh of communications/econ/journalism. I’ve recently taken a lot of interest into Yale. Thinking of actually applying there scea. Any thoughts/chances?

bump bump bump

Solid chances as everyone has said. Make sure you narrow down your focus in ECs because it seems a bit scattered

**Oh, and update. I’ve started a new blogging post at a national education publishing company. In addition, one of my articles I wrote this summer is going to be published in the Wall Street Journal. I’ve added a Physics Honors class to my senior year schedule (blegh, 7 classes not fun) so I’ll have four years of study in all subjects.

Omg you have the whole package…I sincerely hope that not all applicants are like you. Based on your stats and interests I think you would thrive at Harvard and I think you and I both know you have a strong chance! your SATscore is HIGH even if it isn’t in the top 25th percentile…Your extracurriculars are phenomenal.

interested to see where you get in come decision time  great chances btw if thats not a broken record already hahaha
