Hi, i’m an international student applying to a couple of LACs and research unis.
I’m applying to Colgate, Colby, Cornell, UCBerkeley, UCLA, UIUC, GeorgiaTech, Dartmouth, UMich, and Middlebury
It would be great if you guys chanced me,

Objective:

  • SAT I (breakdown): 1430(lol) 750 maths, 680 reading+writing
  • SAT II: 790M
  • Unweighted GPA (out of 4.0): 4.0
  • Rank (percentile if rank is unavailable): N/A
  • IGCSE: 6A* 1A 1B
  • AS-level: AAAA
  • A-level(predicted): AAAA
  • Major Awards (USAMO, Intel etc.): nothing much

    -Founder and manager of a small business
    -Founder and Club Leader of my school’s bio research club
    -Club Leader of my school’s engineering club
    -Founder and Captain my school’s first baseball club
    -Founder and manager of my country’s first baseball league(pretty small though)
    -Did research at my country’s best uni and published a research paper
    -I have a few other insignificant ones, but who cares
  • Job/Work Experience: Research In my country's best Uni, about a year there
  • Volunteer/Community service: Volunteer at an international conference
  • Summer Activities: running a business, research and......studying(lol)
  • Essays: meh, decent
  • Teacher Recommendation: decent
  • Counselor Rec: decent

[]Applied for Financial Aid?: I’m going to apply for Financial aid for a few private unis, not all. I highly doubt i’ll be eligible anyway. I can afford the public unis.

You certainly have the stats to be accepted into your list of schools, your SAT scores may be on the lower range but there are people with scores similar or lower than yours to be accepted.

That said, since your scores aren’t the strongest suit in your factor, you need to ensure your essays - particularly supplement essay - really does justice. That should help the institutions differentiate you from the crowd, and all the other Asians applying with perfect scores.
