Chance for LSE?

I am applying LSE Bsc finance. Not very familiar with UK application so would like to hear the chance.

Doing IB. Higher level: Math, Economics and Physics; standard: Geography, Language and Literature, English B.

The course says “usual standard offer: 38, with higher 7,6,6 and math hl 7”

1st semester 38/42 with higher 7,6,6 (math 7)
2nd semester 40/42 with higher 7,7,6 (math and econ 7)
predicted grades: 42/42

TOEFL:115 (reading 30, listening 28, speaking 27, writing 30)

The personal statement is completely focused on finance since LSE is the only UK school I applied.

Here are some detailed things I wrote about apart from in-school stuffs:

  1. Columbia University High School Program to study the Intro to Business, Finance and Economics.
  2. Interned at the largest national investment bank each summer for 3 years
  3. Self-learning financial derivates and practicing stock market.
  4. Attended rural financial market researches and founded an organization to promote related education
  5. Training of basketball and position as captain
  6. I wrote a paragraph on readings about finance I had done
  7. Growing up in a family involves in financial industry

The 47 lines limit really made me cut some other finance-related activities. But I suppose the listed ones are enough?

It would be really nice if you can chance me. Thank you.

Which year is she applying for?

If she is applying for 2016 entry, then she has missed the deadline for equal consideration (15th January) and it is unlikely that they will consider her application at all (but do ring LSE first).

If it’s for 2017 entry (non-deferred) then you are very quick off the mark… drafting at this stage is fine, but I wouldn’t try and put the final touches to it as it will inevitably change.

Isn’t it already past the deadlines for UCAS?
But yes, if you have met the grade requirements, you do stand a chance. Focus on your PS-LSE looks at personal statement really carefully.
And good luck!

Sorry just realized that this thread was made in Jan 29

Maybe they’ve already applied and are wanting reassurance while waiting to hear?

guys I applied before 1.15. Just want to hear some opinions therefore I will be able to make plans for further action (since I mainly applied us schools)

You meet the requirements. nobody on CC can tell you more than that, and it would be astonishingly foolish for anybody to make any plans based on our guesses as to whether your PS and recs are up to snuff

Yes I agree, admission at LSE is unpredictable. All you can do now is wait, remember to check your email in Thursday and Friday specifically. They tend to give out rejections on Thursday and rejections/ offers on Friday.
