Hello! I am a Korean International living in Korea and will be applying to LSE Finance this November.
But before I do apply I want some objective criticism on my grades & my chances. Also I have some questions regarding the application process. (Please answer ONLY if you know precisely what is the answer.)
I won’t bother listing my SAT scores as I know LSE doesnt look into them
Here are my APs
Calculus BC 5
Macroeconomics 5
Microeconomics 5
Comparative GP 5
US GP 5
Physics 1 5
World History 5
European History 5
Statistics 5
English Literature 4
All 5’s except Eng Lit. Are these scores good enough for a conditional offer?
Now, my question
- Does LSE look into GPA? Because in the UCAS application’s education section, I have to write down all my AP course grades and Honors grades. I’m asking because I have a few B’s. Our school is pretty tough.
What subject are you applying for? it matters.
You have 4 “5’s” in ‘Preferred’ APs (Calc, Physics, World, Euro) and 2 sets further 5s in non-‘Preferred’ APs (Micro/Macro and Comp/US Gov), which means you have enough test scores.
Your GPA is NOT important.
Your PS and Rec WILL matter.
So, you have the necessary marks, and thus it is possible that you could get a conditional- or an unconditional- offer.
I’m applying for Finance. I thought of Management before, but I think Finance is a better choice
You have all the subjects that they suggest for Finance. Go read their comments on the other important elements in the decision process ([here](http://www.lse.ac.uk/study/undergraduate/DegreeProgrammes2016/finance/overview_and_features.aspx)) before you write your PS.
If you are looking for an opinion, imo you are in the running, which is all anybody can be. Write a great PS, and be sure the person writing your rec has read that link as well.
