Your APs are AMAZING. Wow you are surely a stellar student!

However...I'm with van_sandt, I feel like your ECs could be a little more focused. You've got great variety, but I'm interested to see more quality v. quantity. I don't mean to sound harsh, but what makes your ECs stand out from the rest of the applicant pool? (have you won awards for piano? varsity or captain of tennis? AMC/AME?)

I really don't want to sound that negative...but I'd just like to end that I think you are the most hardcore student I've seen. Holey Moley...

Sorry, but I have to disagree. All are leadership positions, and several share things in common, such as the research position and the involvement in Relay For Life (medically related). Also, having a research position will really set him/her apart from the rest of the applicant pool. While ECs aren't the best part of the app, they certainly aren't a weak area.

yeah like i said i could very well be wrong- but upon first look i know its things i see everyday on kids with ivy league aspirations-but essays are cool. they can do stuff

I would finish taking those last few APs, you've come this far, don't stop now.

I disagree with posters above that say your ECs are scattered. I'm going to post about this later but Im not sure what that's supposed to mean. You clearly show you are good at the scattered ECs that you do (I actually think you could've done more, but I digress) and taht you lead in the ones you are involved in. I think this shows dedication in your activities no matter how random they may seem.

I agree with Tyler09 to some extent. Your academic credentials are great, though, as everyone says, you need to raise your test scores a bit. Also, I PLEAD with you, try to differentiate, try as hard as possible not to project the Asian stereotype. Really use your essays to display your personality and stick out. Like Tyler said, unfortunately kids with perfect stats are a dime a dozen at these top schools.

I would say retake the SAT again. I mean, you're not a bad test taker, you taken all those APs and gotten good scores (right?)

BTW, amazing number of APs...I almost killed my self after 6 this year (but got all 5s) :). This is truly an amazing accomplishment. You'll probably win the Siemens scholarship for APs (then again, it's CA)

I would say in at everything but HYPS
HYPS is a total crapshoot, in case you haven't realized.
But you definitely stand a VERY good chance at those

p.s: HOW DID YOU SELF STUDY ART HISTORY LOL?

Yes HYP usually take only SAT scores of 2200+, as is shown in the hope that the "Great Schools with under 2300" thread inspires in so many students with Ivy aspirations.
Chance me please?

Your stats are very commonplace among the applicant pool, and especially so with Asian male, so HYPS is a high reach. Maybe if you have amazing essays you'll have a good chance, but your SAT needs to be improved. The others you are a match, especially with Berkeley's what 90% instate acceptance.
