Chance for MIT Caltech Stanford...

Hello I am a Korean Student (Rising senior) in a small Christian international school in Japan. I am particularly interested in engineering science.

Questions
There is not much Math and science class for me to take in my senior year. Do you recommend taking Online class in university like linear algebra and multivariable calculus?

Is my EC too small?

My chance for MIT, Caltech, Stanford, Berkley, Georgia tech?

What schools are good at engineering? Is Ivy engineering good? (I heard that Ivy is not that high in engineering)

Thanks!

Contrast to what you think, Ivy engineering is not all that bad. Try Cornell, Columbia, or even Princeton, Brown, or Yale. But all your schools are reaches for everyone side from Georgia Tech, which I think is a match for you.
First of all your grades and standardised test scores are great. Try to show some more passion through your ECs if you could. As RacquetSmasher76 suggests, Ivy league colleges are pretty well of in engineering. Try your luck at some of them.

Chance back? Thanks!

The online class would look good! And ECs are a little weak but you should be fine! Ivy engineering is good, and you should look into it!
MIT/CalTech/Stanford are all reaches but you are in the ball park!

Chance back: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1666543-chance-me-jhu-yale-harvard-brown-case-western-osu-washu-uchicago.html#latest</a></p>

Thanks guys!!
For EC, does random EC really affect being admitted to the top colleges?
What I mean is, if I am trying to major in engineering, do EC that are not related to my interest really matter?

I am rising senior and
I am planning on taking

AP Eng Lit
AP Japanese (this is one of my mother tongues so this class should be piece of cake)
AP Bio
AP Stat
AP Econ

So I love math and science and except for stat and Bio I have taken all the m/s class offered in my school
and I am going for engineering major.

Should I take AP lit and AP econ? would I have higher chance getting admitted to top engineering school like MIt and Caltech If I have more AP course in my senior schedule? or non math/science AP course does not make that much difference?

Adcomms like to see ECs that show your true passion. Do ECs in an other field than your interest only if you have interest in them. Don’t do anything just for the sake of putting something on your application. I would suggest:-

If you are interested in programming, try your luck in the informatics olympiad(they are easy if you have a lot of practice, although this is based on my experience till the IOITC)

If you are interested in a sport, try playing at a competitive level.

If you are interested in research try doing it(Its not as easy as it sounds)

And lots more depending on your interests.

For e.g, they would like an engineering aspirant who has pursued research over another engineering aspirant who has done stuff such as MUN, community service etc.

Don’t do random ECs. Do something that relates to what you’re majoring in because it will show your interest in that subject. And it’s a little harder for international students to be accepted to the schools you’ve provided. Your sat score is pretty good, and so is your gpa. However, the colleges you’ve mentioned want more than just academics. Berkeley might be low reach, and Georgia tech is high match, but the others are high reaches. Find safeties too!
Chance me back! http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1672761-chance-me-for-stanford-university.html</a></p>

I think Georgia Tech and Cornell would be great for you! Your ECs should be focused on your major, but honestly just showing passion in anything is all that admissions officers can expect from anyone.
