You seem like a very competitive applicant for Notre Dame (esp. with legacy), Vanderbilt, and UVA. You have a chance at Dartmouth, but then again Dartmouth is harder to get into than the other schools, so make sure you have killer essays.
Hi there! I can chance you for these schools. So, your SAT score is competitive enough for any of the schools you listed so that is good. Your SAT subject tests are as well. Your AP scores are good, and your class rank and GPA are excellent. As for your extracurriculars, it depends on what you hope to achieve in college. What do you want to major in? What is your aspiring career? It would be a bonus to see an obvious connection, but from an outsider’s view, you have a few solid ones (Debate will look good, and though I am skeptical about clubs that were founded by students (because no college knows how legit they are), your Creative Writing Club seems to be worth mentioning, and if you’re serious about the Math Team, and if the credentials are true about it being Top 10 Nationally (which I am not sure if I believe), then you have solid ec’s. The UNICEF and the Honors Societies don’t add anything to anyone’s application in my opinion since those things are just so common. As for your individual schools: Notre Dame - could be anywhere from match to reach (if you apply ED, then the legacy will shine through and make you a match), Dartmouth - Reach (you’re a typical applicant, but you are competitive nonetheless), Vanderbilt - Reach, UVA - Low Reach/Reach (Out of state or not?). This is all assuming your essays are solid, but I think overall you have some solid top schools and are on the right track. Please chance me back! http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1796275-what-do-you-think-of-my-chances-are-at-these-universities.html#latest Good Luck!
Your GPA is excellent and your SAT is very good as well. Your ECs are strong and you have good leadership… What are you majoring in. Your ECs are great, but they don’t scream one interest to me. You are very competitive at all of these schools. I’m not sure how competitive your high school is, but if it is a good institution than you have a great shot at all these schools (with the exception of Dartmouth)
Notre Dame (w/ legacy) - match
UVA - in-state - match. OOS - high match/low reach
Vanderbilt - high match/low reach
Dartmouth - reach (Ivies are always a toss-up)
Chance me back?
