Chance for PharmD school or 7-year dental school near NJ

Hi, I'm a rising senior in NJ and I was wondering what the chances of me getting into PharmD schools (Rutgers, Northeastern, URI, St. John's) or 7-year dental program schools (NYU, Tufts, Boston University, UPenn, UMDNJ) are. I do realize that the 7-year dental program is highly selective and if there's absolutely no chance for me, I'm also thinking of going the traditional route, so please don't hesitate to point out and make suggestions!

The sticky situation for me is that I went to elementary, middle, and high school in both Korea and the US. I spent my 9th and 10th grade in Korea, and another year in 10th and 11th in the US (planning on staying senior year haha). Due to the fact that I spent most of my childhood in the US, my GPA from Korea wasn't all that good (they also do not have an accelerated program like honors classes) so it's bringing down my GPA a LOT. I talked to my guidance counselor about it and she said that it was more likely that schools would pay more attention to the grades I got in the US. What are your opinions? Is that really true?

Unweighted GPA: 9th-3.3
10th in Korea-3.15
10th in US-4.0 (honors alg 2 was the only honors class they would let me take)
11th-4.0 (AP English, AP bio, honors precal, honors chem)
Last time I looked at my transcript, unweighted: 3.5ish?, weighted: 4.3 when I checked last year

SAT: 2320(CR/M/W-760/800/760, single sitting the same as superscored)

SAT II: bio-e (770), bio-m (760), lit (740)

AP classes: bio (5), English lang&comp (5)

you are in any school with that sat score. you should apply to harvard

Rutgers 0-6 PharmD: Reach
URI: Low match/Match
St. John’s: Low match
NYU BA/DMD: Reach
Tufts BA/DMD: Reach
BU dental: Reach
UPenn: Reach
Rutgers Dental: Safety

About Rutgers Dental: there is no UMDNJ anymore, Rutgers Dental handles the BSc/DMD, plus you do not formally apply to Rutgers Dental until the end of the sophomore year; this verdict assumes you’d attend SAS/SEBS/MG at Rutgers-NB for the first three years of undergrad

FireLion, thank you, but I’ve seen people with better SAT scores and EC’s get rejected, so I’m pretty sure I don’t stand a chance applying to Ivy.

Catria, thank you for your insight and correction. I meant that in my head but posted differently! (it’s funny because I spent this morning delving into the whole change of UMDNJ into Rutgers Dental School) Also, I didn’t know that Rutgers Dental would be a safety, maybe more like…reach? The more you know!

The real hurdle, with Rutgers Dental, comes as a sophomore at Rutgers. You’re going to need at least 3.5 on your science GPA at the end of the sophomore year to even be able to apply for the accelerated dental program.

What a hurdle! Thanks for the additional info, it really helps.
