For UIUC, major please… and with your prospective major(s), I can recommend you some other colleges.

You need to write really solid essays for Reed and Chicago. I think you should add Swarthmore and Carleton to the mix (although perhaps not Swarthmore because it’s not very forgiving when it comes to grades - yours are fine, but you know, it’s Swarthmore. Carleton is likely because of its higher acceptance rate.) If you’re into the non-traditional type, then Bard and Sarah Lawrence would make good options too. Both schools are know for their rigorous standards and quirks.

What is your intended major and where is your home state?

Thanks, Catria!
And International, thanks for the recommendations!
Billcsho, I want to be an English major along with graphic design/something art. (It’s what I’m putting but I don’t know for sure, to be honest).
I’m from Illinois.
Also, I know I am going to get a killer rec from one teacher I asked.

I’m EDing UChicago, btw.

I think you’ll get into Pepperdine if your essays are solid and if you get a higher ACT score. Good luck! UIUC should be a reach for you!

EA, I meant EA.

Thank you, cas!

UChi would be a reach. UIUC would be a perfect match for you.
