OK...so IMO you are a pretty decent candidate. I do hope however that you were more positive in decribing your accomplishments on your applications. You have good stats, not incredible but very solid. Write an amazing essay and pull together all your extra curriculars. You have some amazing things you have involved yourself in. Be Proud!
Good Luck to you! :)

thanks guys, and yes and im hoping i did make my accomplishments more positive with my resume and common app.
and kmitch09 what part of the stats are not incredible that i should work on from now until december?

I think you should feel a little cautious about all of these schools. While you're a lock at most universities and liberal arts colleges, Stanford, Columbia and Chicago are some of the toughest schools around. I don't want to get your hopes down; just keep in mind that each school receives some of the best applicants in the nation, and you have a good deal of competition.

I think Chicago is a high match, but Stanford and Columbia--though I hate to say it--still seem to be reaches. Best of luck, though!

P.S: Now that I think about it, your cooking and charity extracurriculars make you a very unique candidate. (Who else takes time to cook for disadvantaged families?) On that note, I'd say you're a high match at Stanford.

yeah, except the op doesn't have a 2350, 3 800s, and doesn't list his AP scores. not to be negative or anything, i'm just saying that they aren't that similar, except for the number of APs taken.

With how Stanford decisions are looking I'm gonna have to say rejected there. You have a chance at Columbia and Chicago (depending on essays) though!
